If you order now you should be good before your move.

I ordered on 17 Dec I'm sure I'll have it before I move but I've heard some horror stories about people waiting for vehicles. One dude waiting for a minivan for over a year. Lol that's crazy.

For over a year? That's terrible! I would've cancelled past 6 months unless that minivan was given for free lol

I ordered my DCSB Sport manual in Lunar Rock at the end of October. Was able to negotiate $1000 off and no stupid dealer fees. I’m told it should be here end of February/early March.

Just got the phone call from our dealer. They received an allocation for our requested truck. Projected build date of March. Delivery mid April.

We initially put our deposit down in July last year to hold our spot. They submitted the request as soon as they could which I believe was October

Canadian prices have gone up by $440 across the board (double cab automatics at least) as of Jan 1, 2022. Haven't seen a mid model year bump like that before.

Mandatory block heater is up $30.

guess my trade value just went up $440. It’s more the principal than it is the $440. Greasy

I called the finance lady in Dec to draw up the paperwork. She said "I cant I dont have a price yet" I thought thats strange....website says $42550....now I see why she said that. My sheet says MSRP...they got me for another $500+tax

I have an actual contract for my PRO with the old price shown. If it ever comes in I wonder what they will do.

My guess is that they will ask for the price increase and then not care if you walk because they can easily sell to someone else. If that is the case, I would point out that you have a contract and if they refuse to honour that contract, then pay the up charge but tell them that they will end up in small claims court where it is likely the original contract will be honoured and the Court will order the Toyota dealer to reimburse the up charge.

As far as a "mandatory" block heater goes, more BS. When I bought my 2019 Taco in Victoria, B.C. a block heater was a $455 option.--there likely are no mechanics in Victoria that have ever installed a block heater in any vehicle. I spend my winters at Sun Peaks Resort so I ordered a KAT brand block heater online for $72 and my indy mechanic in Kamloops charged me $50 to install. I just don't have the fancy Toyota thru the bumper plug-in and cord, I have to open the hood.

Put a deposit on a DCSBOR in LR thru Charlesglen in Calgary yesterday. Looking forward to joining the club. Not blaming TW but the whole process seemed somewhat arduous after discovering this place! lol :gossip:

Yeah I'm not worried about the small change in price, but as someone else pointed out, it's petty on Toyota's part to do this. Should have just had the higher price in Sept/October when they posted them on toyota.ca
And yeah I have the bill of sale all signed with the old price, so when you change the pricing like this it puts the dealer in a bad position too. I'm 100% sure they haven't been able to secure the allocation yet, so they will have to pay the factory the higher price or whatever.

The block heater is now over $500 and is hardcoded into the website for Alberta. It's nickle and diming for sure. At least I am working with a dealer that's not forcing things like etching or other accessories on me... yet.
