I believe it's the dealer that gets the price jump not the mfg.

I placed my order on 12/17

Emailed my Sales Rep today and asked for an estimate on arrival time for my 2022 TRD OR DCSB. Here's what I got for a response.

"I have no time line to give you yet. Our Sales Manager has put your order in . Normally by the 20th of the month Toyota Canada let's us know the status of your order."

Is a simple estimate too much to ask for? Lol

Anyone else getting left in the dark? Lol

They don't really have a reliable estimate for you. Your dealer is at the mercy of Toyota. The 20th is when Toyota tells them they either have a build date, or, they need to wait another month to see if there is a build date.

Once Toyota gives your dealer the allocation you'll get a build and/or delivery date. Until then any estimate isn't worth much.

What dealership was that at? I wonder if every Toyota dealership gets told by Toyota canada on the 20th of each month? I placed a deposit on an army green dcsb trd offroad on November 1st and still haven’t heard anything

3 months after I placed my order I got my first date, well week, when I should receive my truck. Before that it was a guess based off of past timelines.

    That sucks.

Petawawa Toyota is the dealership. I originally had a request in for a TRD Sport DCLB on the 17th Dec and was told ETA would be Mid-Jan but I wanted diff lock so I changed the request a few days later for a TRD OR DCSB in MGM. Ever since that it's been crickets from the salesman. If it wasn't for this forum I'd be completely clueless as to when my truck would arrive.

if your sport was only a month wait, then your salesman looked in the system and found an unspoken for truck matching what you wanted and scooped it up for you. My local dealer had an unspoken for trd sport dclb that I could have had in January.

Guessing that must have been a while ago. Seems there are no vehicles around anymore and dealers are now tacking on additional fees and must buy accessories.

I get that they can't give a reliable estimate. They should be able to tell me exactly what you just did though, am I right? Lol

Dingle Tower you must be in the HRM. I'm originally from there.

Be swell if the DCLB TRD OR was available this year in Canada. I'll sacrifice the LB to get it. I need the double cab space and really short wheel base is better for off road anyways.

Curious about the $500 bump. I noticed it’s about 3
$300 ish on the truck and $200 on the freight. I wonder if
A dealer had a truck on their lot if they would sell it under the old MSRP or just pocket the extra $500. Also noticed the residual is a bit lower so if your leasing the payments just went up. But I suppose you could just buy a used one for more then new. Crazy times.

They're always coy until there's a delivery date for some reason.

I'm originally from the Valley. I did live near the Dingle for a few months though. The name still just makes me laugh.
