2022 Tacoma Discussion (Canadian edition)

Not bad, ordered almost 3 months after me and eta is about 1.5 months after.

 

We will see how accurate they are.

 

I hope the used market is desperate for an older well maintained Tacoma whenever the new truck arrives! Going to try the online auction route, which usually nets higher values compared to dealer trade in. We shall see….

 

I’m currently in the works of purchasing a Toyota Tacoma. I am absolutely sold on the idea of having an OR- double cab- long bed, which unfortunately is not available in Canada.

Does anyone have any knowledge of buying a truck from the states and bringing it to Canada?

Can't answer your question but I wanted the same. I would consider the sport and maybe add an aftermarket air locker. Or if you really have to have the Black front bumper, fender flares, MTS & Crawl control it's a short box. I think it will be quite cost prohibitive to bring a DCLB OR from the states.

 

I just checked Canada Blackbook and I received very close to the high end valuation for both my Gladiator and Mazda 3 on a 2022 Tacoma and 2022 Corolla

 

I believe it has to be at least 6 months old. There is a deal between manufactures accross the border where you can't buy new and ship either way.

It would also cost you more now since Canadian Tacomas new are less than USA Tacomas new once conversion is taken into account. Most of the used truck traffic is CAN->USA currently.

 

Ordered mine mid October and picked it up 2 weeks ago. Love this truck more every day I get into it.

Did you get the exact specifications you requetsed? Or did you have to compromise on some?

 

Thanks. Ordered and got what I wanted. Everything that was coming into the dealer up until late December was presold. Only 2 were available and neither were the colour or model I wanted. Only way to guarantee the one I wanted was to factory order. I was in no rush so it wasn't a big deal. Initially told 3-6 months but apparently the dealership was allocated a few more trucks and one of them happened to be exactly what I ordered so they slapped my name on it.

 

Finally after 6months.. worth the wait

Thanks. I started looking at used back in the summer but they weren’t lasting long and the used prices weren’t much lower than new. I would either see a new one on the lot or dealer website and every time I called it was either sold or someone had ordered it and it was waiting to be picked up. Realized if I wanted to be picky, which I did, I was going to have to order one. Planning on keeping this a long time so didn’t want to compromise on anything.

 

Ordered a Black 2022 TRDOR double cab short bed here in Ontario. It's looking like 3 months or so until delivery date

 

It will go by quick. I'm at 3.5 months so far and estimate is another 2-3 and potentially never...

 

Oh man I feel for you.
Im still on my 2017 4runner until the tacoma arrives so I shouldn't complain.
