Yup, found my unicorn in Quebec and it should be arriving in March.

 

My white TRD pro in 6MT showed an eta of March 2nd-12th as of about 3 weeks ago. I’m nervous to text my sales rep and get an update as I fear it’ll be delayed..

Some car dealers are taking advantage of lean inventories as a result of the semiconductor shortage by charging well above sticker price — and Ford’s chief executive officer isn’t happy about it.

“We have very good intelligence of who they are and their future allocation of product will be directly impacted because of that policy,” CEO Jim Farley said early February on a conference call with analysts.

“We have about 10 per cent of our dealers last year in the supply constrained environment that we’re in charging above MSRP to the best of our knowledge,” he said, referring to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.

The markups come as dealers’ leverage over buyers has increased with shrinking stocks of vehicles. Ford finished 2021 with 247,000 vehicles in inventory, down from 426,000 at the end of 2020. That reflects a limited supply of semiconductors and other key components, which has forced automakers to curtail vehicle production.

Average transaction prices for new vehicles hit an estimated US$44,905 in the U.S. in January, a monthly record, according to J.D. Power.

 

Anyone get or see any Trail editions in Canada yet, I’ve seen them popping up in the US this past month but nothing in Canada yet, I’ve had a deposit on one since October.

 

Anyone who actually receives a ‘22 Pro here in Canada, please take a photo of you with it next to a recognizable Cdn landmark. Lol. I’ll believe they actually exist when I see it! Not a lime green one either, as those were the preview prerelease media test trucks Toyota offered for sneak peaks and review tests last year. #Unobtanium #Vapourware #Unicorns

 

Interesting to see this week that Toyota is running Olympics ads showing the new Tacoma Pro in the background with some snowboarders. Could this be a sign they are actually coming?! Or is this yet another cruel tease? Lol.

 

The last Toyota ad I saw showed a life like female robot. I can't recall what the message was, something about technologies other than automobiles. Manufactures including Toyota can't produce autos, and fill dealer lots. There's no way I can belive manufacturers can produce other technologies at the moment.

 

You know, if/when these Pros ever actually show up, I bet the short term resale value on them will be ludicrously high due to extreme rarity, difficulty to get, and demand. $90k+ ???

 

Haven't seen one yet but mine was allocated mid-November and due to arrive mid-March as of now. Was originally mid-Feb but delivery date pushed back twice so far.

 

I was originally told late February too so now I’m hoping March sometime! I was also told I’d know the colour by late December but that didn’t happen either. Guess the wait continues!

 

Pretty sure they're only just arriving and definitely not in any large numbers, I think only a half dozen or so were allocated to Ontario for all of 2022.

Mine is scheduled for late March delivery, I've gotta drive through Ottawa so I think I'll be able to fulfill your request.

The real question now, where are all the Hot Wheel's Tacoma's hiding? My wife wants to paint one to match our new truck.

I just called my dealer for an update on my pro and it’s now showing an ETA of March 8th-12th. A month ago it was showing March 2nd-12th so I guess the ETA has narrowed down which I’ll take as a positive and more accurate..

 

my trd OR premium is now scheduled to arrive the same week as your pro. I placed my deposit on October 7th.

 

I placed my order October 20th. If you’re in Ontario they are probably on the same train.
