ETA for my truck that i thankfully intercepted is May 6 to May 16th so fingers crossed that doesn't move ! status says "in production".

 

This is 100% my understanding and my salesman stated this outright. He wanted a non-refundable $2k deposit because he said it would be difficult for them to sell a ELG Pro 6MT, if I backed out. I don't know if it would actually be more difficult, or whether this is just how the dealership felt about it. Having said that, I am NOT their typical customer.

Very similar timing to mine! I ordered a week earlier and ETA was expected a week earlier than yours too. Although I last followed up in February so should probably email to get an update!

My LR Sport Premium has been updated to Apr 19-23. Apparently it is in transit now. I think I ordered it around Dec 23rd.

they seemed to have shaved 1 month off your wait time compared to mine. That’s better than the other way

 

I had originally ordered an OR premium in early Dec and changed to a sport premium just before Xmas. Original arrival date was last week of Apr..it is now moved up a week.

 

This is gonna sound weird...I don't want the truck until August at the earliest. When do I order? Sometime in April?
Seems like delivery times are all over the map.
Would be getting a DCSB OR, so nothing special.

 

I was shopping with a few dealers this week, some are into July now with DCLB Sport premium. I know different models have different dates so might not be the same timeline for DCSB OR but could be getting close to your timeline.

 

4-5 months seems standard right now

 

My dealer just called me saying my truck just got pushed back a week. What I don’t get is when I left my deposit it was in the system as at port. That was 3 1/2-4 weeks ago.

 

I ordered my TRD sport premium on Dec 1. Got confirmation of allocation a couple weeks later. Arrival date changed a couple times while at the port but I still took delivery 3 months after the order date.

A friend ordered a 22 tundra platinum before me. It’s arrived at the port since Dec but still no answers to when it will be delivered.

 

Order placed March 11. 2022 TRD Offroad SB Premium A/T in MGM. Already ordered and received 17" TRD Pro wheels and new Toyo Open Country R/T's for it.

 

I posted this in another thread but I’m curious if anyone else has had this happen. Ive been looking for a 6MT PRO. 2 weeks ago my dealer called and said that they just got one allocated ETA mid June. I put a deposit down right away. They called me yesterday to tell me Toyota pulled/cancelled the allocation because of parts shortages. He did mention the blind spot monitoring. I think they are being honest asI am paying MSRP plus a dealer fee and I was going to trade in my 22 PRO auto that they will also make money on. He also did mention that not only did my truck get pulled but all of their premium OffRoads and Sports.

He thinks that will be it for PRO’s this year. If i wanted he said they could a place another order for one. When I asked why would I if mine just got cancelled he said that when an order gets pulled like this it’s gone it doesn’t stay in the system it has to be resubmitted.

Has anyone else had their truck/allocation get pulled like this?

 

^ between Toyotas method of production and the shortage of parts/chips, none of that surprises me and seems plausible.
It sucks to be a buyer right now.

‘22 Pros (and possibly ‘23) will be collectors items in the future, especially in ELM and manual. Not only are they the last two 3rd gen production years and last of the manual Tacomas (+ Pros getting some minor final tweaks for ‘22/‘23), but they’ll be known as the covid year trucks, when production wasn’t peak.

Picked up my OR premium yesterday and my dealer was saying that they are cutting off the premium trim in Canada (except for Pros) due to not having the blind spot monitors available. So if you don't have one due to arrive soon you might not see it it the trim you ordered.
