Trail edition delivered today in Vancouver. Couldn’t be more psyched. Came with predator steps and blackout package. No bed boxes (which I was going to remove anyways).

good luck everyone else getting yours soon!

Interesting one of those has the SR5 blacked out and the other one doesn't (unless dealer blacked out ktruss')

Usually don't care for the bronze rims, but I saw on of these on the lot last week and it looks great with the lunar rock. Congrats!

Picking up my TRD OR DCSB Premium tomorrow, order Dec, and they are not honouring the original finance rate I signed in Dec. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Agree and fortunately they don't put red and black bed stickers on it which just looks wrong to me on Lunar Rock for some reason.

Yep, mine bumped the rate from 3.49% in January when I ordered to 4.49% now and said that's the best they can do because of the recent rate hikes. The finance manager has said they actually went to a bank instead because they could get a better rate than through Toyota's financing. Unfortunately if you look at the offer sheet it says the rate is good for 3 months (I think, from memory) which sucks because it was always going to take longer than 3 months for delivery.

Ford Is the only make that will protect the rate (If I remember correctly). Toyota rates are subject to whenever the vehicle arrives.

Not exactly true. Toyota will honor the rate with a signed contract. A signed contract will only happen with a VIN and a known delivery date (within 3 months of that date). Unfortunately, in the current times, it doesn’t work well for Tacoma’s. The best you can get is as soon as you hear the truck is loaded for delivery, you can ask to get the contract (not a good practice either because anything can happen between the time you sign the contract and you receive your vehicle - damage to the truck, inconsistencies, loose your job, recession, whatever). Anyway, at the moment, it’s pretty much certain you can most likely only sign the contract at the delivery. And get the current rates.

I signed a contract in October and it said subject to Toyota Canada rates on arrival, but it also said 5-6 months estimate. Rate has gone up once and so has the price since then.

Did you sign another contract at delivery? Or the one you signed in October was the only one signed?

I signed one in June 2021 for a 2021 TRD Pro (the dealer didn’t sign, of course, otherwise they would have been obligated to find me one at the mentioned price) and as they never found one, I got a 2022 for which I signed another contract at delivery.

My bet is the dealer didn’t sign your contract and you’ll have to sign the real one when you’ll get the truck.

had the same situation but on a lease, they changed the percentage on me. Really nothing we can do even though its a signed contract (as MTB_Tacoma said) there is no VIN or delivery date on the contract so Toyota can get away with it. Only option was not to take the truck which i was not doing lol

you sign the real contract on delivery date

I do have a worksheet with offer to purchase signed by the sales manager and the more detailed 1 page contract sheet with trade details that was signed by the Financial sales manager. The full 10+ page thing is signed when you pick up the vehicle.

Out of many makes I've bought in the past Ford was the only one that states they will protect the rate no matter when the vehicle comes in.

Rates went up again. Basically 5% for finance and 6.5% for lease. I think 2nd or 3rd time during this model year.

They align with the Bank of Canada base rates. Not the rate, but going up/down.

I ordered in October and the rate was 3.79%. When I picked up the truck at the end of January and signed all the papers the rate was 3.69%. A little surprised that it was lower. It was financed through a credit union so they must have been able to get the better rate.

I have the one with chrome. The Dealer had the blackout badges put on a day later. No extra charge.
