2022 Tacoma Discussion (Canadian edition)

The color is so strong, I thought Lime is too sharp for a truck, the solar octane stepped even further. Yep, they both look great, very eye catching, but little too much.

 

I agree they do look good and they will sell them all.

It’s just getting a bit tiring that the main draw each year is a new color.

 

I didn't care for the neon solar orange until this picture. I kind of want one now.

 

I’m waiting for an allocation since May for a solar octane in Quebec. I spoke with the dealer on Friday and they don’t even have one built. I’m ready to give up. This whole time I’ve been without a vehicle.

 

The Solar Octane looks different in person and also depending on what kind of light it's in. In the sunlight I'm told it looks more orange, in a show room, under led or florescent, it looks almost milky orange.

Still no hood decal though. But at least they’re not saying it comes with on the website anymore.

 

That Pro looks awesome. I would assume all vehicles are spoken for.

There were more used Tacoma's than new.

4 new Tundra's and 3 new 4R's tho.

 

I wish they offered a Tacoma like the anniversary 4 Runner. I like the retro look.

 

I've been told that my '22 Pro Auto will be here early December. I had actually given up on it a few months back after zero replies from my sales guy. Hopefully this pans out for me.

He said the truck I ordered so assuming it’s a ‘22. Either would be fine with me.

 

My 2023 TRD Pro MT just landed.

Ordered February 24, 2022 in MGM.
September 28, 2022 was called by dealer who said they didn't have an MGM but a white coming, jumped on it.
Delivered to dealer today.

Total 8 months wait. Was originally told 6-9 so I guess they somehow managed to make it in that time frame. Stoked because I currently have no winter vehicle and it's starting to snow

 

It seems there are a lot of PRO 6MT coming early all in white. Where are you located?

 

The stripes indicate 40th anniversary model, right? Pretty perverse once you realize the current platform accounts for half that heritage (20 years old).

I agree on this as well. Was offered a white pro mt but turned it down.

 

I just received an email from my dealer where I bought my 22 ELM Pro from. They have a 23 Solar Octane auto allocated and on the way. Since I am blacklisted from Toyota Canada from buying any new vehicles, if someone is interested PM me and I will give you the sales persons contact info. he was great to deal with.
