I did, yes. Not many colour options for the Pro so went with black.

    Which colour did you choose?

I saw a Pro last year in that colour as I was having my 4R serviced. It looked amazing. Hopefully it pans out for you.

You don't have a part number on that decal do you? I am going to FL in March and was thinking about bringing it back with me.

Finally got an allocation for a TRD Pro Solar Octane in auto. It's been a long wait, but I'm told it should be here in early april!

Dealer called a couple of weeks ago and made me an offer for my 2018. I still have a year left on my lease but they offered me extra cash to buy out my lease. I'll use that as a down payment. Offer looks good to me so I ordered a TRD Sport Premium on February 3. Dealer says 6-12 month wait. Got a Magnetic Grey Metallic.

Interest rates are terrible. Lease rate is now double what I'm currently paying. Oddly enough, purchase rate is pretty good. Better than what I can get on my line of credit so it makes sense to purchase new instead of buying out my lease or leasing another.

Trying to understand the difference as well. Going through Toyota Canada’s website, shows the manual as not having TPMS, different radios (no JBL speakers)?

Anyone with a manual able to confirm?

Confirmed. 6MT TRD Pro doesn't have the push button start, keyless entry or JBL radio/speakers. I expect the reason that the JBL is not included is because of the remote start feature that is part of the JBL package. You can't have remote start with the manual. Suits me fine. I'll take the fun factor and connected feel of driving a manual over the push button start/lack of remote start any day of the week. JBL is overrated and a $400 powered sub with upgraded tweeters (really not needed) are superior to the JBL. If you really want remote start, you can add aftermarket and with sub/tweeters still be $3 grand cheaper than the auto TR Pro.

When I read the specs on toyota.ca, it also looks like the MT TRD PRO does *not* come with the e-locker or the atrac system. I thought this was odd. Can anyone confirm?

It has atrac and rear locker. No mts/crawl which is for automatics.

    Friday humor:

$76,000 for a Pro. And they are a President’s Club dealer.

Interesting… I never purchased a used vehicle, but I was under the impression used was tax free? Unless it’s a demo?

Nothing is tax free when you buy from a dealer, new or used. That's how things get taxed over, and over, and over..........

That’s a new incoming vehicle. In Ontario you pay taxes on used vehicles also.

Ad says like new, a couple times. Makes it seem like it's used truck. Other hint is the finance rate of 8.99% for 72 months. Toyota rate for 72 months right now is 6.79% on new Tacomas.

They are probably doing this so that they can charge more than new MSRP since it's "used". Pretty slimy. I got my Pro under MSRP last summer at the height of price insanity when there were Pros listed for closer to $100k. So not all dealers are like this.

Most places doing business in Canada retail, wholesale or whatever in Canada have to to register with the Feds and get a GST (goods and services tax #). Whatever deal you make with the seller if it's a business vs person has to give the Feds their share. They can hide it or whatever to you but it's always in there.

There’s a lot of funny stuff. This dealer below is one of the worse I’ve seen. They happen to have a few used 2022 and even 2023’s … rarely have new vehicles. $110k for a used 2023 Tundra Pro. Perhaps there is a taker for something like this.

Overall the market is getting better than a year ago… dealers are actually getting vehicles from Toyota that are not pre sold and there are some Tacomas that are available now or incoming. The used prices are coming down quick.

I’m betting you didn’t get your Taco from a big city area. I’ve actually come across a couple of 23 Pros at a MSRP (or close - some dealer fees), from way outside the big city. Just wasn’t the right colour.
