These guys are advertising prices under msrp

    https://www.cochranetoyota.com/new/year/2022/model/Tacoma/

I was able to get under msrp on my order at a different dealer as well, but have a relationship with some folks there.

Thanks. I did contact them. All prices are legit on the website. But they do charge a $799 dealer Doc fee.

I see the new 2022 TRD Sport Premium does not come with LED lights but does in the U.S. Overall the price has gone up 1,000 not so bad at all for the current demand.

I got my 2017 trd or quicksand stole last month. I was to place an order for a 2022 but with the redesign coming in 2023 I'm afraid the new one will be alot better.

    Whats yours thought on this?

I'd go 2022 and wait a year or 2 for the gremlins to be worked out of the 2023 if they are redesigned which could include a new engine. Possibly a TT 4.

I really like the look of the Tacoma above all else. I don't know what the next gen will be like, but when I look at other mid-size trucks, the current Hilux or the new Tundra, chances are I won't like it.

Just put another order with squamish toyota, hands down the best service for toyota dealerships at lower main land. At least I got a ETA from them.

I was going to get a 22 but will wait and get a 6 Gen 4 Runner probably, based on the new platform design and upgrades.

Hi all! Will introduce myself in the new members area, thought I start here first as I recently move to the Nova Scotia.

A dealer mentioned January is earliest and nothing off msrp, plus $500 dealer fees. I know same song and dance; but I haven’t bought a new car in 15 years; so yikes! Ok rant done.

I’m looking at the 2022 sport premium or off road premium double cab in lunar rock. I want the heritage grill, but dealer said the front camera issue.

Looking for guidance - is there a front camera on both sport and off road models?

anyone in the maritime or specifically Halifax area? Next questions specific to the area

I’ve heard to rust proof/undercoating is a must?

also thinking about tonneau cover and running boards...ideally I don’t want to add to my lease paying interest. Anybody has any suggestions if aftermarket is better or go with dealer?

I’m so ready to put the order in next week!

the camera system is only on the premium models (off road or sport) as far as I know.

the trd pro, with the grill you want, also has a front camera so not sure what issue they’re referring to. My local (NS) dealer wouldn’t install oversized tires on my tundra when I bought it also. Said it would throw off tss, which is total BS.

there is a good krown dealer in the city I’d use for at least the 1st year of your lease. Our climate here is very humid and the winters see lots of salt used on the roads.

I’m going with the oem Toyota running boards, they tuck up right to the rocker panels and will keep the paint protected from rocks/debris.

I go aftermarket on tonneau cover

I am waiting on the same truck, off road premium in lunar rock. I was told February

So I have a 2022 TRD Sport Premium coming in a few weeks. Does anyone know if this model has the front facing camera? And if so, whats the status on mounting it with a heritage grill?

It is harder to get dealerships down on MSRP since the pandemic. I was lucky in that they had a new 2019 that my dealership wanted to move that was marked down 5K, I paid for that vehicle and the dealership discovered they had a “no sale recall” on the vehicle. I got lucky and they switched my deal over to a 2020. I don’t trade in vehicles either as I don’t want them making money on me twice and they always play with those numbers.

I never pay the admin fees, I get up and walk out if they don’t budge. I also get add-on’s. I don’t pay the inflated protection packages, you can usually talk them down at least 50%. Keep saying no and they will offer you a reduced rate, 80% of those sales are commission.

Although with the pandemic and high demand, they appear to be in the drivers seat.

Believe it does, but I could be wrong. Someone will correct me if wrong.

You a SAR Tech? I served in SAR Squadrons in Edmonton, 440 and 435. Knew a lot of SAR Techs, because I was a rock climber I did TD at Jarvis Lake and taught climbing at the SAR School in the summer months, but that was many moons ago in the 80s. Served with legends like Guy Parent, Jim Brown, and Walt Davis. Good times.

I’m thinking the ‘22 will have the front camera, however I’ve done some reading on the forum and it appears there are some guys who have 3-D printed brackets that will work so I should be good!
And yes sir, work with the Canadian Task Force teams primarily, as well as do a lot of industrial rescue(high angle, confined space, hazmat, paramedic, water rescue). Unfortunately the 80’s were a fair bit before my time! Lol (born in ‘90)
