Where are you seeing this inventory? Any way I can access this inventory as well?

Yeah, I just Googled "Virginia Miller Toyota" and see some 2022's listed. My local Upstate NY dealer just reached saying a month or two more before ordering. Maybe they were wrong?

I'm not questioning it accuracy of his statement. I also can see them one the dealers he's listed. I'm just curious how he's able to track these individual inventories. Perhaps he goes through each dealers website one by one, but that seems tedious and unlikely, if he's able to list all the 22s being processed.

All the VINs for 2022's I've seen linked in this thread so far (Virginia Miller, Lynch, and Butler Toyota) appear to be temporary VINs. They have "A", "B", or "C" in the serial number (last six digits). My understanding is that "real" Tacoma VINs have the last six digits as a serial number (numeric, no alpha characters). Also the check digit is invalid (9th digit) per NHTSA's decoder: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/Decoder

Not implying these aren't real trucks, but I think they're only scheduled to be built, not "in transit" as dealers love to say.

All the above has been inferred from busily impatiently waiting and reading on the internet, so take it with a grain of salt. Nevertheless I'm excited to see dealers posting pre-production 2022 ads....has to mean it's sooner than if they weren't, right? :D

Oh, it depends on the dealer honestly. Can you believe, that Toyota builds Tacomas (non-manuals) in Tijuana, Mexico, yet no single San Diego area dealer has them coming yet? Doesn't make sense to me at all, as you'd think they'd arrive there sooner.

The new plant in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico, is further down south and at best, closest to Texas still, but still a 17 hour drive to Toyota HQ in Dallas. Yet no Texas dealers have them listed.

I can provide links to all of them for, if needed. I didn't think my post would be of much interest to anyone LOL.

Yeah, that's definitely not it. Benchmarking purposes, I am that tedious. But for something like this, totally no. Too exhausting, for no ROI. I'll get it for you and everyone, who needs this information. Just give me some time and it will be up, if needed. If anyone else can do it as well, even better.

Well really I was just hoping you had access to an API or something that would provide all the data. Toyota has an API that shows inventory as it rolls off the trucks at the dealers, but obviously these are all already sold, except in rare circumstances where a deal falls apart. Unfortunately this API also doesn't provide any of the temporary vins, nor does it show any 22s, yet.

I wonder if it's true the trail version will have the bronze wheels and "Toyota"grille. Why would this trim get those extra over the TRD sport/off road?

Yep that’s correct. The temp VIN has a letter in the last 6. The first two numbers before the letter is the build week/ scheduled build week for the year. They are and have been behind on a lot of production.

The new Tundra looks like an anime artist's drawing of an art deco locomotive.

I think the Pro would look so good of they just color keyed the lower part of the bumper cover instead of the part under the "mouth" also being black

I was but can't get over how ugly it is, the interior and updates are great but that front end, the weird flares and fenders and the terrible terrible terrible rear tails, so much chrome on every trim minus sport and pro and then dumb camo on that and I'm sure it'll cost $50k+, so I'm out. Worried whats in store for the 2024 Tacoma, since its also gonna share the same platform and a turbo 4...

New Tundra : Mini-Mack. Front looks like Mack truck. What are they trying to prove here ? Japanese are usually more conservative then this.
Look at some of the Chevrolet pickups, ridiculous grill designs, almost like something is just plastered on the front. This sells pickups ?
