Greetings. New owner as of 3/26/2022.
    2022 MGM Nightshade.
Any of you folks successfully changed leds in brake and rear running lights.
Been through several Amazon 7443 brands that hyper flashed.
    Thanks

You need to install a resistor in line with the bulb or spend the cash and get the MESO total tail stage 1 or 2 (they have built in resistors and are plug-n-play). The truck is hyperflashing because it think the bulbs are burnt out since the LED's don't pull as much current as halogen. Resistors can be found on Amazon or at most auto part stores. Be prepared to cut harnesses and solder.

I have not looked into the flasher relays on my truck yet, but another option is to replace it with an electronic style, they are not load sensitive and will not hyper flash with LED bulbs installed.

Thank-you for this question and welcome to the forum. I am in the same boat with my 21 Tacoma Sport. So many of the Amazon bulbs say they don't fit the Tacoma as the above link also states on the website. I guess we are looking for the cheaper 10 and 12 dollar bulbs to work - but I'm pretty sure that they won't.
Does CanBus Ready mean no Hyper Flash or that it won't show a code that the bulb is out. I took all of the bulbs out of my right taillight and started the truck and got no dash warnings ? Maybe I didn't let it run long enough. Anyway - I'm starting to be happy with the factory bulbs with all the complications that LED seems to offer.

Amazon is wrong here. I can tell you with 100% certainty that these bulbs will and do fit in a 21-22 Tacoma. I went thru several different types that all hyperflashed on my 21 Sport Premium. I pulled that link from my past Amazon order . It is the standard 7443 bulb which is the exact size bulb Tacoma uses for brake and turn bulbs. No hyperflash, no warning lights, no resistors needed. They work perfectly.

I've tried approx 4 MFG leds supposed to be canbus ready. But hyper flashed. Odd thing is had an old set used in third break light Ram 2019 1500. They worked in Back up lights.

Honestly, I’d recommend the @MESO stage 1 total tails, in case you’ve not seen them. They’re sold out on his site but one of his dealers has them listed as in stock… there might have been a set here for sale somewhere too-

edited to add more- Ive only seen a few people have hyperflash with these during normal use. When you turn your blinker on while in reverse it will hyperflash. I think that’s just the way it is with the switchback being turn and reverse light.

Yeah, you can do that, but south of $20 sounds better to me.
