Just bought a 2022 Tacoma SR 4 CYL , access cab with 9000 miles on it.
I want to put a nice 2 inch receiver hitch on it. Not to pull a trailer with but use it to put one of these carriers on it so I can haul a deer on it during hunting season. Question…. Would I void my warranty doing so ?Thanks Marty

Don’t see any reason why it would void the warranty. The only reason they would void a warranty claim if something broke because of the hitch .

take a look at what UHaul has to offer
Also……they are a bolt on hitch, usually no drilling involved. If you can change oil, you can install a hitch.

The only way it would void the warranty is 1) like mention prior: the hitch broke something or 2) towing something undeniably heavy for it like pulling couple of houses or mother-in law or two

I have one to put a 1up bike carrier on that I had installed at a trailer shop. I wouldn’t even think about it.

If you’re going to just use it to haul dead ungulates around, I wouldn’t even bother wiring it for trailer brakes/lights.

Yes. I am not going to wire it. Thanks for all the input. Marty
