The 2022 is different or other posts showed unnecessary steps?
In my pictures you will see, #4 and #13 OBC connector is not like earlier years, there is no metal tab in #13...
So you don't have to jump on board computer, period!

I took a quart of new fluid poured it in transmission before doing anything else!!

So you have to jump out the transmission "thermostat" that is next to transmission, (this can be found in many YouTube videos on how to do) push in with screw driver and use a very small allen wrench to hold piston in while performing procedure.

Then start the truck, shift to reverse,
Neutral, drive, then S, go back to drive, now go from drive to neutral, back & forth fairly quickly (6-10 times) watching the dash where the selection light is in bottom left corner, once it goes into check mode the light goes out, shows blank "see picture". Put into park and let idle.

After it warms up, about 8-10 minutes the D comes on steady crawl underneath and take out the allen wrench head bolt, let drain until fluid is just a trickle, put bolt & WASHER back in hole and tighten.

Jump back up and make sure D light is still on "constant, as in picture" ( if flashing, it is over temp and you have to let cool and start over).

Turn off truck if D light is constant and crawl under to pull out very small allen wrench in the transmission thermostat housing.

You are done, whole process is less than 30 minutes if your familiar with Toyota's (sealed) transmission.

Much easier than the 2nd gen models.

Every video & write up i seen shows the obc being jumped out, either the people don't know there isn't a electrical connector in #13 or just making it sound harder than it has to be? IDK...

This procedure worked perfectly on my 2023 4X4 TRD Sport. No jumper wire was needed.

I am glad I checked the level. The transmission was 8 - 10 ounces low on fluid.

I added a quart of fluid (maybe a couple ounces of loss), drained until the trickle formed, and measureed about 24 ounces.

Insignificant and not a cause to issues you experience
