Just an FYI, 2020+ folks are experiencing issues with these not playing well with the OEM mounts (wearing, squeaking):

So I’ll have my 2022 PRO in two weeks. When I read about the 1.5” / 0.5” lift, many articles were (I think incorrectly) saying that this lift is over the 2021 and prior PROs. I think it’s really as compared to the 1”/0.5” lift on the prior PROs (so only 0.5” lift in the front), but I cannot get confirmation. To make matters more confusing, the listed height of the 2022 PRO is 71.6” which is identical to the 2021 PRO (compared to the other tacos at 70.6”). Anyone know the details here?

Edit: older PROs I think have a 1” lift in the front and 0” in back. So the entire truck should be up 0.5” and therefore listed height would be 72.1” not 71.6”…. Either a typo or I’m mistaken about something.

Blocks are fine for 99.9% of the Tacoma buyers out there, especially in the 1/2" variety. Toyota's not going to shell out the extra coin for an AAL for the .01% of 'hard core' forum members.

I think they just never bothered to update it. Maybe confusion comes from no extra ground clearance as all Tacomas have the same ground clearance regardless of trim.

I think they just didn’t update it. Calling toyota now to find out. And yes ground clearance identical unless you get bigger tires. Suspension lift doesn’t change where the diff/ rear axle sits.

My sales sheet says the 21 comes with a TRD Tuned Fox 2.5 internal bypass shocks . I always read that as a 2.5” lift. I always wondered why my 2011 felt taller with it’s 17” wheels.

Thinking of putting these Toytecs on 2022 TRD Pro to pick up an additional 1/2"-3/4" over the factory lift to give a total front lift of around 2-2.25". I understand that larger spacers are generally considered bad for off road, but will thinner spacers like these really have any significant negative effect on suspension components, CV's, etc?). I want to maintain the ride and function of the stock Fox suspension to the greatest extent possible.

Also, I have yet to confirm, but my understanding is that Toyota has designed in a Taco lean correction for the '22 Pro's.

Why not go with the eibach or wescott lift? These will maintain factory ride/suspension for the most part without having to add spacers. The fox shocks do account for the 1/4" gangster lean.

My understanding with the Wescott is that it basically has two components - a lower collar that perches the coil higher (i.e., preload) plus a thin top plate spacer which, when combined, give 1.5" over factory. I don't want that much lift, so I figured getting Toytec's which seem essentially the same top plates used in the Westcott kit would be a cost effective compromise without having to introduce the preload component of the Westcott lower collar.

I'm not familiar with the Eibach kit for the Pro's, I'm assuming it's just a new coil that replaces the stock Fox coil? I'll have to do some more research...

Toytec makes a nice lift. Replaces the spring in the fox coilover instead of spacers.

Also I do not believe it's a fox coil to begin with. I believe eibach makes the springs for fox.

Yeah, I think I read that Eibach makes the coils for Fox. So I'm assuming the aftermarket Eibach kit for the Pro's is just a bigger coil than what comes stock on the Pro? How much additional lift does the aftermarket coil add?

Reading thru this thread, there seems to be a lot of confusion about ride heights. As others have stated, you should always measure from center of hub to fender (while parked on dead level pavement!). My understanding is that stock 2022 TRD non-pro models are 21" from hub center to fender for the front ride height. I've heard that the Westcott lift for 2022 Pro's will bring that to 24", giving a total of 3" over stock non-Pro, and 1.5" over stock Pro.

Do they have a kit for the ‘22+ pros? The new pros have a 1” block in the rear to get the added height. Not sure how they increased the height in the front as the suspension looks identical to ‘20+.

Did anyone pull the trigger on strut spacer? I have been sitting on a 3/8" (passenger side) and 1/2" (driver side) from Wheelers Off-Road assuming I have to find new bolts. Pretty sure 1/4" is safe with OEM bolts from what I read, cant find any intel on these slightly larger ones. Anyone know the OEM bolt specs?

I have the same question as I want to put in a small spacer to fix the Taco Lean. I was looking at this vs. the 1/4" Headstrong spacer, which is much more expensive at $30. Any concerns about using the poly spacer?

My neighbor ran these poly spacers on his super built Tacoma just because he didn't want to preload his kings to get the 2.5" inches of lift and he had no issues. I got these for the same reason but I think I am just going to go a little smaller-- 1/4" passenger side and 3/8" on the driver side. I just cant find the specs on the factory bolts and I want buy new ones before I have my truck on jack stands.

Jeff Westcott cleared this up for me when I asked. I have a 2020 Pro. Was curious about the latest one.

Front is the same as the 2020

Back has a 1/2 inch block from the factory.

So if you go to the Westcott kit you will have the preload collar on the front.
In the rear you will pull out the 1/2 inch factory block and install the Westcott block.

I ran mine like that for a while but was hauling tools so I took the Westcott block out and installed a headstrong 3 leaf add a leaf pack which is 1.5 inches in the rear

You're talking rear suspension, we are talking about strut spacers for the front.

Ah, no……I’m talking in response to various posts further up. Where they were talking about Westcott lift and what the factory 2022/2023 TRD Pro had factory.
