Jeff Wescott says a lot of things. Also says his lift is not a spacer lift…but the kit comes with a lot of spacers.

The matter is the new Pros are a half inch higher front and back than previous models. For the people trying to understand all this, the old pros were lifted 1 inch in the front compared to other Tacoma trims, and now the new models are 1.5 in the front, and .5 in the rear. The rear uses a half inch block.

The questions I would have is:
Is the shocks longer than previous models?
Did they need to extend brake lines in the rear, and did they have to extend the wheel sensor wire in the front? (I’ve stretched mine from having my sway bar disconnected on my 2019.)
Extended bump stop in the rear?
Did Toyota use new control arms to balance out any lost travel from a half inch spacer up front? (This is a guess. I’m assuming the top hat might be thicker)

    etc.

    And your point?

front is the same as 2020. Rear is 1/2 inch block.

and we know this because they took the new ones apart for their preload lift.

spring is same preload collar/spring perch the same

    check the part numbers

So with Westcott, you will get 2.5-3 inches in front and 1 inch in rear with removal of factory 1/2 inch block and adding Westcott 1 inch block

I don’t believe that is true.

Check the spring bet it’s the same preload collar/spring perch part numbers

I guess Toyota says a lot of misleading things as well.

and a preload collar is not a spacer

Measure your 23 pro from center of wheel center cap/hub to edge of fender flare on level ground and tell me what it is? ;)

“On the Tacomas we add 1.8-1.9” in the front and 1” rear.

For the new 2023 models with the new designed upper control arms we remove the 1/2” shim or block in the rear and replace it with ours.

We don’t see any more lift in the front of the 2023 Tacomas. Just more acceptable angle in the upper ball joint with the new design.”

So you’re saying Jeff westcott makes/manufactures the lifts for the new Trd pros? Lol
“Preload collar” is a wescott term. I don’t think you can buy at spring perch and top hat spacer from Toyota. Toyota usually replaces the whole shock. Best bet it to ask fox, and fox is weird about OE shocks.

All I know is the perch is different between the 19s and 20s. I’m assuming the new pros are like the 2020s at the perch.

I don’t know what you’re trying to say.

Toyota can’t really say anything too misleading. They’d get bashed here in the comments, or they’d be tied up in litigation in a millisecond.

yeah that “shim” that is replaced…that’s a spacer….Jeff made sure to NOT call
it that for his cult like following.

    No I’m not saying that.

You my fellow member are an idiot though.

go to the nearest dealer and measure a TRD Pro

    from hub to fender.

Better yet take the front coilover apart and tell me what you find different between a 2020 and a 2023.

    Comical response o_O

The reason he calls it that is because most Il-informed would call a spring perch a spacer.

a spacer would go on top of the assembly.

a thicker spring perch changes the preload. Just like AN ADJUSTABLE COIL-OVER

He calls it that for idiots like you :angrygirl:

I see you resulted to insults. How am I suppose to know YOU mean when you ask me to look preload collars by Toyota? Lol

    and I’m the idiot?
The top hat spacer is the spacer…not the spring perch…you really have not idea what you’re talking about do you?
That’s not an adjustable coilover bro…

What gives the Westcott lift the lift is the spring perch and a small thin spacer at the top.

so when you adjust the bottom nut up on a adjustable coilover what does it do to raise the vehicle?

Only difference is Jeff’s is fixed height

My what a thick top hat this icon has.

my what a thick spring perch.

wow what a short spring …..

If a guy would adjust this it might have more preload.

“These coilovers are also height adjustable from 0-3”

    Hmmmm, interesting.

    Must be a spacer lift.

Westcott most certainly didn’t JUST slap a thick rubber/metal spacer on top of the coilover mount pushing everything down

difference icon designed it that way. It’s called a top hat spacer on the oe fox’s lol
Jeff wescott has one included in his kit…and asked you to replace the OE one…to help lift the vehicle then says “don’t call it a spacer lift.”

It is what it is man. We know what he’s selling man. You’re not educating anyone.

And you are? As you said “All I know is 2019 and 2020 are different.”

BTW. You have that measurement yet for me on the front of a 2023 TRD Pro?

Did you take the 23 front coil-over apart yet and see if it’s different?
