Toyota also just discontinued the TRD Pro PTR61-35170 kit for 2016-2021's. I wonder if they are replacing with with a 2022 TRD Pro based kit. It will be interesting to see if they will even sell the UCA's standalone or part of a kit with the rest of the suspension.

I think a recessed grill would totally change the look, my opinion at least. Really not a fan of 3rd gen grill the way it appears to bulge out from some angles.

edit: like this one but maybe even a bit deeper still.

Can confirm. I went out looking for a fully loaded 2020 Off-road and (keep in mind this was pre-pandemic) ended up with a new 2019 Pro as I was able to negotiate the price down to the same as the best they would do on an Off-road. I thought I wanted the 2020 for the power seats but after I drove them both the Pro rode and handled so much better that I didn’t even need to think about it.

And now the truck is worth ~$8,000+ more than I paid for it just through Carvana.

If I run a 2020 off-road through fully loaded with the same mileage and options it’s worth $8-10k less than the Pro for a year newer truck.

What do you think it'll take to convert a 21 pro to a 22? (I'm not meaning bed stamp and color...)

I think the short answer is you can't.

Would involve new motor, new transmission and drive train. And once your done with that, suspension and frame replacement. And that's not even touching the interior and/or body work....

I was skeptical based on the teasers but damn, they nailed it on the new one! :101010:

Edit: I see you have one on order, I'd cancel that right quick if it were my money :boink:

Haha, I'm hoping we are misunderstanding each other! I agree that they absolutely nailed the new Tundra; BUT, I'm referring to the 21 to 22 Tacoma Pro...definitely the same motor, transmission, drive train, etc. It's the suspension or at least the fancy red UCA I'm after, but I know there were other changes...obviously, I'm not a mechanic, I just want even more lift, better ride quality, and all without messing with my warranty.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't the 2022 on the new platform? The 21 still has all thr current equipment right?
