The gas station where you fill up would appreciate it if you stopped doing that. It can spill, make a mess, or cause a fire

The vehicle you drive would appreciate it if you stopped doing that

Your boss would appreciate it too since he's on the hook for any repair costs

If the vehicle ends up at a dealership or repair shop they would also appreciate it if you gave them the full story about how you fill the tank. It will help them get to the bottom of the issue faster

I do the same thing, but with my bladder. I drink while on the toilet. I get more mileage between bathroom breaks.

People like you are the reason why they have those warning signs at the gas station.

The classic man says to doctor "my arm hurts after I sleep on it" to which the doctor responds "don't sleep on it".

What's the threshold on the level of stupidity that a local population has to cross before their officials finally step in and say, “nah, were not letting you idiots pump gas anymore.”?

Don't some states already have this in place, where you can't pump your own gas?

feel like there is just as much risk with minimum wage gas station attendants. At least with the general population pumping there own gas you can probably assume SOME of them are smart.

Give OP a break. He's pitting under a green flag. No time to shut that thing off and start it up again.

I put an extra quart of oil in my truck when changing my oil. I get like an extra 2,000 miles between changes.

How do you not know how to fill gas properly at a station?
Curious what line of work do you do?

While I've never had a brand new car, I've encountered the opposite problem with the same symptom of stalling after a few feet. About 50km after an amber light comes on the dash, the vehicle doesn't want to run consistently and stalls. I have to add a flammable, smelly liquid out of a red storage container, to get it going again.

Overfilling the system will flood the evaporative emissions system (vapors) with liquid gas (not vapors) the system is not ment to deal with liquids. This can cause all kinds of issues and expensive repairs. Not to mention the fact that you should always shut the vehicle off before fueling. Try shutting off before you fuel and stopping at the first click of the pump. Problem will probably go away.
