This guy has to be trolling nobody could be stupid enough to top off a running vehicle. Maybe fifty years ago before they had all the sensors and filters and shit.

Unrelated, but does anyone get a dark oily film on their windshield after changing their oil?

 

I hate to drive where I live. Front/rear dash cams capture the worst of humanity on the daily.

Perhaps, the gods do not feel appreciated for providing the liquid sustenance. I think the remedy, when it stalls, is to siphon out with a hose, spit into a cup, and then light this on fire as an offering. If enough of an offering is provided, maybe your truck will start again, or maybe there will be no more truck and thereby extension, no more problem.

Just because it sounds like a diesel doesn't mean you should treat it like one.

 

I put a quart of oil right in the tank once the pump clicks off.

If it's good enough for a 2-stroke it's good enough for my truck. I feel it gives the truck a little extra braaap and lubricates the engine immediately.

 

Can confirm this, my truck runs like crap after I fill it with diesel.

 

Also the gods prefer a pious, quiet environment, and clearly by letting your vehicle run while refueling is akin to talking out loud in a library or chapel, or meditation studio. It's not appreciated, and so you are punished with a time out.

 

Your fueling practices are proven to be detrimental to the vehicle and dangerous to those around you. This isn’t an opinion it’s a fact.
It can feel really crappy when users here jump on your back, but try to not be salty about that. Look at all of these comments saying the exact same thing as a sign you should rethink the way to fuel your vehicle.

Just because you’ve been doing it forever doesn’t mean you’ve been doing it correctly. We are never too old to learn or have our thought processes questioned.

Try changing your habits and report back.
Have your evap canister checked
