The plastic body of my 2022 Tacoma Driver's seat became loose about a few weeks ago and I have no clue why. It will not pop back into place no matter what I do and I am unsure how to fix it. Upon inspecting it, nothing outright seems cracked/chipped off or really visibly broken in any way.

Does anybody have experience with this happening in their Tacoma? How did you fix it? Is the only option to order a fresh part, if so does anybody know the part number and perhaps a decent tutorial on how to replace it? Any other alternative cheaper solutions?

    NOTE:

Every seat has Clazzio faux leather sear covers that were very carefully installed a little over a year ago. This separation/looseness of the plastic only started about 3 weeks ago, and definitely didn't occur anywhere near the initial install of the seat covers. I atleast know this for a fact due to meticulously cleaning the entire truck every few weeks. I would have absolutely spotted this issue should it have occurred sooner.

You’ve tucked seat covers under the plastic trim and it finally gave up the ghost due to being stretched farther than intended, would be my guess

    LS1 swap with nitros.
No experience but may be easiest to pull the seat out and remove that piece. I’d guess the retention tabs are broken hence it not staying in place. Could be the seat covers, could be a million other things.

Did you take off the plastic piece and visually inspect it . Maybe the retention clip came off or broke . Cheap fix u can super glue it . Or junk yard if it’s broken .
