It wasn’t bad at all, surprisingly. Took me about 30 min but could probably do it in 15 min the second time.

I got oem bezels from local dealer.

I might try 285s but think it might rub a lot.

Just wondered what you fellow Trail Edition owners thought of my new grill badge! I just always felt it needed a little something “Trail” upfront. Got this from Taco Vinyl in tan color, hoping it would match closer to the bronze. Not too bad and really love it! IMG_0932.jpg

    Hey Yall.

I did an intro thread, but gonna toss in here too.

This is my 2022 Army Green Taco.

Just recently discovered TacomaWorld, and after getting my truck back after a... minor cuddle with a dump truck.... taco3.jpg

I've started to slowly look at mods that I can do that are budget friendly.
I'll be asking lots of questions... forgive me in advance. lol .

    Hi, just joined yesterday.
I have a 23 Tacoma Trail that I've been building up.
Nice to see that there's a Trail owners section.

IMG_5572.jpgHere’s mine. Almost a year old now. I’ll be doing fogs pretty soon. Have all the goodies for a stalk switch changeout. Probably going DD pros, but those max’s are really nice. I’m pretty irresponsible so we’ll see.
Also added door sill kick protectors, the front legacy badge and made my own 8ball shift selector. can’t wait for tires. I hate these.
Also have an OTT tune. Thank you MasterYota

So I noticed water coming from the bed of my truck this morning. It had rained last night. I had the tonneau cover on and the bed boxes closed, but somehow the non insulated box was full of water. Any of you guys have this problem? I feel like the solution is to remove them because theyre pretty useless anyway.

I have the 23 Canadian version of the Trail. We got other goodies instead of those boxes. As per American reviews and your post, I'm grateful for that. Most people seem to say that they leak. Personally I would sell them if you can.

I think you’re right. They’re just not practical for me on top this other nonsense.

Mine had the same problem, so I removed them, and I havent missed them at all.

You could probably get aftermarket containers that are MUCH better if you really needed them.

I have no idea why Toyota would think Americans would much rather have leaky boxes than heated seats.

Have any trail edition owners installed aftermarket LED headlight assemblies? I got the alpharex luxxe headlight assemblies, but I’m not 100% sure on if I need to use the DRL harness and fuse tap or not since the trail has DRLs.

    Any help?

Howdy, ‘21 Trail owner here - can anyone tell me the differences between my truck and the 22-up TE?

The differences are documented in the respective model year brochure.

2022 and newer has an electronic locking rear differential, Heritage grill, and bronze TRD Pro style wheel and tire package. 2023 comes with keyless entry and push button start.

I'm not sure on this but I don't think 2021 came with a factory rear spacer lift and longer front springs for a mild factory lift. The 2022 and up have this.

Thanks, my main interest was if the 21 has the same lift as the 22>
