I mean, this is not just an OR issue though. It's a new vehicle issue. I can only go by what I see on cars.com.

Ah. Well from personal experience and what I’ve read, most stuff on those sites isn’t available. Regardless of pre sold or not, dealers will still put them on cars.com or their websites to drive traffic. So I’d say most aren’t available or are pre sold and that’s before getting into, are they selling at msrp.

Like you said this is a market problem so these conversations are all rooted in the theoretical and idealism as we can’t just walk down and even see in person any of these trucks.

Not sure if you’re looking for something right now but I wish you the best on that endeavor! We all need it.

Thank goodness I am not in the market lol. I'm not envious of anyone who is.

The landscape is definitely changed to where unfortunately the logical statements you are making around model comparability sadly don't apply in today's market. It's really case by case - we see everyone's situations because we are on the forum, but in reality, across a few months, you may only see a couple trucks that somewhat meet your desired parameters. So we kind of have to move on something when it pops up. I needed a truck really 2 months ago, so I am just happy to have a cool truck for MSRP + small dealer pack at this point!

Not sure I follow since in my mind, "ordering" one model vs the other and waiting months seems to matter not at all.

Sorry, I’m not following. I’m not trying to argue, just was enjoying a good conversation around the matter. I’ve appreciated reading your opinions.

I was just saying, the way things used to be, the days of discounts and possibly walking up and buying a truck off the lot the same day sadly aren’t the norm anymore. That’s mainly all I was getting at.

Lol, we're not? Are we? Haha. It's all fine here. I hope you guys get your trucks soon so this thread can move on to better things.

I did see a LR TE on Reddit last week. Soon.

Haha I didn’t think so either, but you never know. Forums can be so intense sometimes so glad we can have a spirited chat.

I love the OR and it’s a great model. I hope I love the trail too! I’m just happy to soon have a Tacoma at this point haha.

Yeah I know someone on this thread is bound to get theirs soon. I’m planning on making a nice YouTube video walk around and review once I get mine to try and provide more detail shots of it for people.

Damn those wheels look so nice. I wish you could get those now! I want them over the 17in TRD wheels.

The seats look black to me, I think it's just a mixture of the lighting and the pattern on the seats that make it seem lighter. Funny on the video it states the truck comes with fog lights too haha, I guess it's just a bot reading off SR5 options though.

The air dam being installed on these after they touted the improved approach angles and said it would be deleted, in the press release, is annoying.

They are black or maybe a dark charcoal but it's also a dude filming in 720p somehow in 2022, so I think we need to wait for a more HD look with good filming (hopefully my video turns out well when it comes in).

Looks like they’re all coming with the air dam despite them saying they wouldn’t.

Something interesting I noticed from that video.

    door handle te.jpg

When did Toyota add touch sensor handles to the passenger side? TRD of course, not on the TE.

I wish there was a way for us to complain about that but no dealer is gonna know or care, and it would have to be a corporate complaint. I tried calling toyota and they had no way of passing it along it seemed, or answering the question since it's not like a recall issue.

I'm surprised I didn't hear about this before. I had to pay like $64 to add it to my trucks lol. So dumb to put it on only the drivers door.
