Just here to say, I’m extremely happy I waited the +2 months for my 2021 MT and didn’t settle for an auto. Been driving manuals for 20 years and was not ready to make the switch.

I found MT by luck more or less. The wife had her '13 at the dealer for a issue with blower motor and I ask her to look and see if they have a white AC MT and she sent me a picture of one fresh off the transport truck. Transport truck may have even been in the picture. Truck with plastic protection film on it. About 2 weeks or less later it was mine.

Unless Toyota decides to develop a MT specifically for the new global platform, yes the 3rd gen is likely the last MT Tacoma

@Carmaker1 can tell us the latest if he jumps back on this site

Idk if Id be willing to sacrifice TRD bro status tho…also, how would it be priced? If it were priced $1-2k less then what the point, just get the Off road.

Its a nice looking truck but the price is the downside as it's actually higher than the Sport/Off Road.

Yes ... but it looks like only with automatic transmission. And the built in cooler deletes a good chunk of the already small bed. I thought I was going to order one in army green before I saw the actual specs. It looks like the cheapest way into a trail ready Tacoma though if you don't want a MT or the full bed size.

I don't know what the actual price the trail model is selling for off the lot, if you can find one, but it was supposed but be cheaper than a TRD OR. Otherwise, it costs about $1500 to get some fancy wheels and a "heritage" grille to get the same look.

Its actually more than an Off Road, not less.

    Trail Edition Base Price $40,635
Off Road DC AT 4x4 Base Price $38,870

I bought a 2019 TRD Off Road and personally love it. I've put 1k miles on it already and it is amazing and its easy to get used too. The gearing is different and I hear is better and more preferred for the MT . In my opinion I would always go with the manual version of most cars just because I enjoy it more too

I waited and waited and WAITED on a MT access cab. Finally one popped up near me and I snatched it right up. I am so glad I waited for the truck I've always wanted, the MT is so nice.
