I think you should take off most all of the add on’s. You can get them much cheap putting them on yourself and or better aftermarket replacements.

I’ve had dealers take off stuff

it’s actually a private sale. The owner just took possession but is now selling due to another vehicle he had on pre-order long ago just coming in.

At that price then that sounds about right. For whatever reason they seem to appreciate as soon as you drive them off the lot. It’s crazy you can buy new cheaper than pre owned. Secondly all the add ons are all at MSRP and could save quite a bit ordering all that after the fact, but if it’s already on the truck then you really don’t have a choice.

I know this is unrealistic if in a rush but I would put in a deposit at a dealer and wait for one if you can snatch one up at MSRP. If you are eager and wanting to buy then it’s whatever your willing to pay.

I personally would wait but not sure on your situation.

Unfortunately I do not know if any dealer here in CA that is currently not marking up Pros. Even one of the most well known dealers here is marking them up 5k. Def good advice however as I’m not really in a rush but waiting anywhere from 6-10 months may also not be realistic.

Since he’s ordering vehicles, there’s a good chance he knows there’s a massive shortage and people willing to pay more,,,, in other words he may well be doing this to turn a profit.

I’m confident in this assumption as well. But at the end of the day he holds the upper hand unfortunately. Question is what is the happy medium.

Order your own truck and save $10k with a little patience.

I paid 46k for my 21 MT PRO in November. Look at what is actually an add on vs what comes with the truck. For starters, the pro floor mats come with the truck, so tell him to kick rocks with that $400 nonsense.

It's a Port add K&N reusuable type filter - one was on my truck when I got it. But, it was listed at $80, not $100...and I got the dealer to throw in about $1700 of options/add ons for free.

Assuming DC with automatic, invoice price before options is $44731 according to Edmunds. I sure wouldn't pay full list price for all of those add-ons unless you want all of them and can't find a truck. I wouldn't go over $54K for sure. The 2023's will be coming before long.

These were off a California zip on Toyotas build site. Way more than what he’s asking for his add-ons. Like mentioned the Floor Mats come with the Truck and the D-Rings as well. If you don’t want to wait and what not I would offer low and see. What’s the worst that can happen.

Best bet is to hope he’s not flipping them and needs to sell before buying the other truck or would like to sell quick. Best of luck.
