I noticed 2023 4Runners starting to pop up on local dealer websites. I thought that 2022 was the last year of this iteration of the 4Runner: the 2023 looks the same and has the 4.0 from what I can see.

Anyone have insights into 2023 4Runner (and beyond)? TIA

I have a 2023 Limited 4wd on order. Same as 2022 but couldn’t get one delivered.
They are on Toyota build it.

Gave up and pulled a white SR5 Premium 4x4 from latest allocation to be delivered 10/19. Had sold my 2014 122k miles TRD OFF ROAD 4wd and ready.
And saved a LOT of $$$$

The next gen will probably be announced in mid 2023 as a 2024 model

I just bought one of the last 22's. I was trying to wait for the hybrid one but from what my salesman (who is pretty cool older dude), he said the 4Runner is supposed to change for 2025 being release likely in late 2024. I was like, that's it, gimme one of the old school reliable one right meow!

They just don’t build dinosaur’s like they used too.
And they are hard to get. 7 weeks couldn’t get a Limited and the year changed. Finally got Sport Premium set up and found it had 3rd Row on it.
now have the serial number of a TRD ORP in White due on 10 Oct.
YES I AM HAPPY FOR A DINOSAUR.
I deliver my 2014 TRD 4wd Taco today with 122k miles of carefree driving.
Never knew you could miss a vehicle, I’m going to miss this truck.
