So the OE USB port is still in my dash (see the last photo in my post linked above). Everything looks normal and I don't mind have that "dead" USB port in the dash since there's one in the center console for charging. Ours has the Qi charging pad too so if I need to keep the phone charged I drop it in there. It is über slow though. It basically keeps the phone at whatever level it started at if I'm playing Pandora or music from my iTunes library, making calls, using maps and such on a longer trip.

I only pulled the stereo and disconnected the dash USB cable on the back so that I could connect the Ali-Express adapter and the Car Play adapter. So I never removed the panel below it. Others have to install switches and such though so a search should turn up something.

Someone else suggested a USB splitter but the Entune 3.0 stereo in ours is only set up to handle one input at a time. I'm not sure what it would do if you, say, had your phone connected via BT or plugged in a phone as well as another phone or a USB drive. Might work, maybe just for charging? Dunno. o_O

    Hope that helps!

I just used double sided Gorilla mounting tape to put my adaptor upside down under the dash below the ports and switches. I used a short angled cable to connect it so the Dongle is out to the way, not dangling around and doesn't look so bad. I don't have the wireless charger, doesn't come with the SR5, but seeing it's so slow don't feel like I'm missing out there. I just keep a USB-C and Apple Lightning cable plugged in to the center console, routed out through the lid for my Galaxy Phone, my Work iPhone and Partener to use with his iPhone if we go on a trip in the truck. For short trips I don't bother to plug in but for longer trips I do plug in and lay the phone next to the parking brake handle.
