I'm a Ricciardo fan and am really hoping he does great things. But I just listened to an interview with him and there was a lot of happy squeezy psychobable bullshit about finding himself, finding love of the sport, finding his confidence etc. All nice sports psychology words but if it hasn't resulted in actual ruthless, arrogant, self confidence it's just talk. I have the feeling he is about to get gut punched and head back on the headcase train. Hope Im wrong.

Since it’s all about the media spectacle now Monaco should be turned into a cart race with half points awarded. Solves a lot of problems with the track and modern F1 car sizes.

Could be something like how the Allstar Race in N@$(@R is, no points but big prize money and prestige. Do it right before summer break or something like that and definitely use a different style car

 

AFAIK FIA rules already allow up to 13 teams so what is the point? I don't think FIA has any say as to how many teams actually appear on the grid. The teams are understandably against expansion because they are all finally looking to F1 being profitable. Domenicali is the key. The commercial rights holder wanting Andretti/Cadillac the grid seems to a no brainer from a profit perspective. So why is he a roadblock? F1 teams are making his yacht payments. Again, what is the point? FIA can license twenty teams but we won't see team number eleven on the grid anytime soon, if ever.

 

They made the rules they can amend them I would think. Whatever it takes to bring in viewers.
