Great work and very clean. It looks unique and creative, although I would have swapped the grill to a V2 Pro. It would really go well with your dark wheels and pop on the white.

2023 Ice Cap Limited: 2" Lift using Bilstein 5100s and 2" rear spacers (maintains rake), TRD Pro 17 x 7, 4mm offset rims, and BFG 265 65R/17 K02 tires. Tinted windows (30 front/5 back), Weathertech window deflectors, chrome tailgate letters, raptor lights, front tow shackles, and red painted OEM skid plate
I highly considered a TRD Pro Grill, but getting an OEM one can be difficult (requires Pro VIN, etc), and aftermarket grills may not have BOTH the camera and sensor mount points. I'll check again sometime, but no rush.

I hear ya. This was the one I was thinking of. Its not an OEM but modeled after the Tundra and new 4th Gen. Just something new and different. Also comes with Raptor and Side light options as well as camera. Im not sure about sensors.

Nice work and a great look!

Screw the naysayers. It's your truck. Enjoy it, as you are, and make it yours.

I just hit the 20 year mark of retirement from the Army. Where the hell did the years go?

I bought my 2020 Army Green Tacoma 4 years ago and still love getting behind the wheel.

I like your truck. One thing that frustrates me about buying my Tacoma is that I REALLY love the Voodoo Blue color of recent years. I like the white, don't get me wrong, but Voodoo Blue is by far my favorite by leaps and bounds. No such option with the 2023, especially buying one of the last 2023s off of the assembly line. Wouldn't it nice to buy-to-order any vehicle with any color, combo, etc and have it delivered to your home? Pure fantasy at this point.

I see that you're a retired 0-6. That's a sweet retirement check. I retired as a Major with 23 years, plus 60% disability. I drive a school bus 30 hours per week, mostly to get out of the house, but it's nice knowing I'd still be comfortable financially without the extra job.

I checked out these grills, nice. I love the disclaimer they have to prevent a lawsuit. "Toyota does not permit these letters to be installed in the order of their namesake and we do not suggest that customers install them in this order either."

Of COURSE I will spell out the name TOYOTA if I ever buy this. :)

I also started with a low beam add a fuse. Routed it through the wire bundle.

switched to INJ as I wasn’t driving at night much.

didn’t like the fuse box clutter so I bought an R4T harness.

Then I installed OEM LED and I didn’t like the double harness clutter.

This all took me down a path where I now make silly harnesses to enable others to add grill lights without add a fuse and also conversion harnesses with an integrated feed.

The bolt lights look nice. In that grille I’d be tempted to use DD 6” bars and try to get some flashy reverse sequential for turns as well. But the pinpoints look great for DRL mode.

Lol, I'm with you on this brother! I'm retired and about to turn 62. I wake up every morning and ask myself, what the fuck am I going to do today? I'm running out of shit to fix!

PS: well done on your creative solution! Lights look good on that grill.

It's been a minute since I looked at a military pay chart but dang!

    The O's have it!

Retired E7 here with disability rating <70%...and I just transitioned to a new job with Boeing on Dover AFB.

I know it's not a competition and I'm glad veterans get what's due after service.

Here's my fave pose of my "Sporty Spice" with aftermarket vintage grill and smoked amber raptor lights--No camera or video sensors...just TSS.

I like it! I also miss having the Sport scoop like I did on my 2011 TRD Sport. I am tempted to search for one, but my wife will kill me if I rush out to do another mod. I've had this truck for less than a month and already poured several thousand more into it than what I originally paid. She bought a 4Runner a week later than I bought mine, so I've been trying to convince her to let me mod hers too as a way to get her off my back about focusing only on mine. The thing is, she won't let me do anymore mods on her SUV so I need to find another way to bribe her into allowing me to continue on mine. Oh...the things I stress over in my easy retirement life.

I've been to Dover many times, but it only takes us 1 hr 10 min to get to McGuire's commissary. Most of the time she just goes without me. I can't remember the last time I stepped foot on an AFB. Funny since I spent most of my entire career on one, plus another two years as a civilian instructor at Nellis.

I had 26 years of active service when I retired out of the Pentagon in 2004. I went to work at a small college in PA after retirement and worked there for 16 years, the last 8 as president of the college. The Army retirement is a welcome bump in the bank account every month. Somehow I think the years of abusing my body will catch up to me. My hips are both screaming for attention at this point. :)
