    My last mention of KARTBOY. Tom also makes cool license plate brackets with light tabs. Mainly aimed at the Crosstrek Overland kids. I needed a single tab and he obliged. Again, if you want a grambo style light mount for your license plate frame, he'll do it. Easy peezy. Rigid Industries spot on tripod ball stud mount. Aims all over without issues. And real CF plate frame...because rice is nice. :]

    As a guy who has had nearly an identical path through the car world as you, I enjoy this immensely. I still have my 2011 WRX hatch, I just can’t get rid of him. It’s so cool to see the JDM/import touches on the Tacoma. Great looking truck! Keep it up, I may borrow some of your projects. Hahaha!

    My hexagonal expanded metal bug catcher came to fruition this weekend. I managed to get it to fit like a glove after some patient trimming and fitting. This was fun and it came out pretty cool. I'm gonna add teflon "edging" at all of the contact points to clean things up a bit. For now, its pretty cool and the Hexagonal pattern goes well with the truck's design.

    Cup Holder Mod, bed cover, and steps.
    This antenna mount is one of the best uses of Carbon I have seen on a vehicle. (I Design in carbon for aerospace stuff) That isn't simply Black Aluminum! And... Now that I go through the thread I see your post on hand-crafting it. Nice! Take some clear epoxy to your cut edges and it will last for a very long time!

    Wow. That is really nice to hear. Thank you. I looked at the design of the metal mounts and came up with something a little more stylish and performance oriented while still retaining strength. And I will take your advice and treat the edges. I use Super Glue on my Tamiya RC carbon bits.

    TRD BRO fogs completed. I am really unhappy with the fitment of the plastics on this vehicle, so far. The interior has been solid. The exterior is a sloppy mess.

    The exterior front plastic is surprisingly supple and movable to some degree. I think this was by design. My guess, most likely for pedestrian safety.

    I can see the durometer of the plastics being a consideration but, its the fitment that bugs. Everything is loose and floppy like the OEM plastics are Chinese knock offs...

    Added was 1.25" spacers to improve the stance and the look of the truck. It definitely feels more planted and looks better. Scored a heck of a deal on a tailgate pad as well. Pretty happy with it.

    Installed the K&N Kommiefornia Legal kit. I must say it made all sorts of difference. Throttle response is more crisp. The butt dyno likes it. My favorite part is, prior to install, the truck would settle at 2500 rpms at 80mph. Now it settles at 2000 rpms at 80mph. I'm hoping this is not a coincidence or due to the cold snap we are having. For now, I am very happy. We will see how the drive home from work goes.

    *Confirmed. it downshifts more often, at 80mph, and the rpms drop from 2500 to 2000. Nice.*
