I have the ADM delete but don't have 5.1 fluid. It still stiffens up in the cold, I wouldn't want to know how bad it would with if I still had the accumulator.

Delete the accumulator and switch to a low viscosity brake fluid (I used Pentosin DOT 4 "LV" but there are others as mentioned earlier).

Also--Sport models share the reservoir with the brakes. Pro and OR have separate reservoirs.

I’ve owned many vehicles with manual transmissions in Minnesota and never experienced as much viscosity in cold weather than with my Tacoma. Caveat: I don’t notice it unless I let it sit outside overnight in 10F or below. Otherwise it’s just normal cold weather stiffness.

I heard one report that the accumulator delete mod does not solve the issue.

No it doesn't solve the issue it makes it less though. My 22 corolla acted the same way. My older car did the same thing. It was expected and isn't an actual issue

I’ve never seen a cable clutch on anything except a motorcycle as far as I remember back to my 1974 Datsun pickup. I could be senile.

Bishop is it normal for these trucks to have vibrations under different acceleration patterns especially as the engine is warning up? I swear everyone of these trucks have a different personality after owning so many of them

Yea, its just cold rubber, cold metal, all varying warming up rates.

My truck rattles my cup holder like crazy when its cold.

It sucks when they leak but I do like clutch hydraulic designs with the slave inside the bell-housing like ford's because everything stays nice and light unlike our hydraulics that shed their heat and takes longer to warm up

Most of my vehicles were cable... Fox body Mustangs. First thing to modify was throwing away the self adjusting quadrant and installing a BBK manual adjusting aluminum quadrant with adjustable cable. Even my old 1978 Honda Civic was cable.

My 1980 C20 3/4 ton square body Chevy pick up was linkage.

The only vehicles I have had with hydraulic clutches were a 4Runner, a Corolla and my Tacoma. The only one with the firm pedal issue when cold has been the Tacoma though....

I don't remember if my Samurai was cable or hydraulic.

I haven’t had any cable setups before. I’ve had all hydraulic on everything except the family 82 CJ7. That thing used a terrible mechanical bell crank linkage that was nearly impossible to get shifting right and if you flexed the body and frame enough, the pieces of the linkage could fall out. It only got worse with body lift too.

The only hydraulic ones for me were a Cavalier and the Tacoma's, everything else was a Cable.
