Based on the size of that storm and the time, I'd say not long

All the comments I've seen have ranged from comments about homosexuality to saying it's fitting because he drives like he's drunk anyway.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Busch really got this one wrong. They portray a blue collar image and they are jumping ship when the most blue collar guy to enter the sport in the last 20 years shows up. I get that trackhouse is performing better but SHR will get back on track. Busch really has a problem being in touch with it's base right now. Shit! I could see Smithfield moving over to the 4 though. Seems like the kind of guy they like.

Not sure if you know much about Chastain, but he isn't exactly white collar either. SHR is spinning in the wind and showing no signs of getting that sinking ship corrected, not surprised Busch moved on to a team that honestly, gets more exposure.

LOL, sounds like you don’t know much about Ross. He is not exactly the guy out picking watermelons. He comes from generations of huge watermelon farms and a family who has the capital to buy his rides and his brothers to get to where he is now. Racing is expensive at any level, not saying he was as privileged as Austin but he was certainly given a lot of opportunities that most kids parents could not afford. Josh Berry on the other hand is about as legit blue collar as it gets.

Just saw RCR's post. I missed the start of the race, but it was nice to hear Richard bring back the "gentlemen, start your engines" command.

You're right, just spent years in southwest Florida watching him and his dad race budget cars at Punta Gorda and other tracks around Florida. Not sure how familiar you are with inland Florida but it's about as blue collar as it gets. Family farm makes good, and Ross gives farmers a voice, something a huge mega corporation like AmBev can exploit lol.

Best of luck to them. I have no doubt that Ross has had plenty of days sweating and dirty hands. All I am saying is he has also been provided the benefit of that work way beyond what can be considered the average guy. You have your opinion and I have my own. At the end of the day it was not Chastain's talent that got him to where he is. It was his daddies checkbook. I am pretty familiar with that area of FL and the farming industry having grown up on a 782 acre farm myself. At the end of the day, great for Ross. In my opinion where Busch as a brand currently is, I still say they are better off 3 years from now being on the side of the 4 with Berry as a driver. Time might prove me wrong but they are just jumping to the popularity that Ross has gained in place of earning it with a new face that fits better with the brand. All though, I suspect a lot of Ross fans would be down to shotgun a bud light! Now that I think of it, why in the hell are they not going after the 22!!

My issue is not with Ross at all. I mean, good for him. I just think it looks bad for Busch. I am not sure why the media coverage now wants to paint these pictures of these spoiled kids who rode daddies checkbook to success are being painted as average guys. Compared to say Jeff Gordon, who's family paid a lot to put him in rides and moved to Indiana to jumpstart his career. And the picture was painted as such. Now they want us to believe that is the case when it is simply not. Then you take the rare instance where someone like us actually does make it. Who happens to meet a mega star online gaming and really is the average grass roots guy. He makes it and you bail from that. A guy who drove around the country working on his own shit. Who still works on his own cars. The Josh Berry story is old school as hell and I have the utmost respect for Tony for putting him in that car when you know plenty of drivers had checkbooks out ready to buy that ride. The difference in what Josh Berry accomplished and Ross is that Josh actually won to get to where he is. Ross paid for rides and drove beyond his talent until he was noticed.

I suspect you are correct. Maybe there will be two HAAS automation cars! LOL. If Gene put the funding he does into his failed F1 attempt into SHR they would be unbeatable.

Tony said he would take talent over money any day and that's exactly what he did when he hired Berry.
