He doesn’t like confrontation. He’ll cower if you yell at him for almost causing Denny his 50th win. :D

I know everyone is up in arms about this but I don't see the issue. Maybe it's because most here aren't 11 fans. I am. With that said, I'm still trying to figure out what he did that any other driver wouldn't do to try and get the win. Putting aside it was for his 50th and JGRs 600th, any other driver would do the same.

Should NASCAR have thrown the caution earlier which could have produced an overtime, green, white, checker decision.. Not sure. However, I do think that's the biggest rub here, not Denny's win.

I've never pulled for Denny and don't particularly care for his off-track personae, but he's 100% right here. The dude is paid to drive the car as hard as possible and get the trophy. The same goes for Joey and everybody else, and sometimes people don't like to acknowledge this. The minute some driver lays over to let another driver by *out of respect*, they need to hang it up. I point this out because Denny has whined for years about how other drivers need to have some respect and not hold him up in traffic. Denny (and every other veteran driver) want it both ways. This is why I love it when a new young hotshot, be it Bubba or anyone else, arrives and doesn't give one inch to the veterans. We don't have to like the younger guys, but when they show up to compete, I love to see it. The whole sport is based on David vs. Goliath.

It all boils down to what Bill Elliott said 30+ years ago. "That's just one of them racing deals."

I'm a fan of the 11 but as I mentioned above, no harm no foul here. He's racing for a win... A historic win at that for him and JGR.
