2023 NASCAR THREAD!!!

I like Matty D, but he really hasn't done much in the truck series either.

 

The XM host (I forget his name) mentioned that he believes in second chances. But Gragson may be on his 4th or 5th chance already.

 

Matty D under performed but he also stated he wanted a team that he could be more outspoken for. But he wasn't a generational talent and not proven enough for anyone to take a chance on any potential controversy so he didn't get a cup or Xfinity ride.

 

No chance Dale Jr. puts up with him again. Too many awkward podcasts on Monday trying to defend him not to mention the only sponsor that will truly stick with him is Black Rifle. This will probably lead to a mid tier Xfinity ride where he can prove his talent and prove that he's matured but let's be real, the second part won't happen.

 

Matt was also dabbling in some conspiracy stuff and platforming some whacky folks but shipped it by saying it was the industry (Wood Bros., NASCAR) silencing his religious and political beliefs. This is funny considering he accused the Woods, a down-home family of military vets, of silencing his pro-America stance.

Zane Smith to the #10 or #21?

 

I think Aric stays with SHR one more year as he’s waffling again.

21 would be a good fit as Harrison hasn’t lived up to his potential.

Kaulig has the 31 open too. Zane will hopefully find a ride. Front Row tried, they just can’t fund a 3rd Cup Car

 

Zane is backed by Ford. if Zane doesn’t go to SHR, that will certainly raise some eyebrows about Ford’s commitment to SHR.

Hopefully he gets a second chance. NASCAR needs drivers like him,not just a bunch of guys with no personality.

 

He will... He just needs to lay low for a bit and this will all blow over. Once he comes back into the spotlight, answer all the questions honestly. He's a kid. I think he's still got a lot of maturing to do and finding himself back in Xfinity for the next couple years may help him do that. Be yourself, but with today's cancel society, censor what you say and stay far far away from social media if you can't just promote your brand and your sponsors.

#31 would be a good spot for Noah if the team can fund the car.

 

Anything is possible! Talent trumps all and he has the talent. He just need a 180° ala Kyle Larson. Not that he’s close to that talented but take queues from his behavior now
