    Yep... Charter is required for playoff eligibility. The point of the charter was to dissuade teams doing the field filler thing... Fielding a team to run a few laps and collect a payday. The effect was it prevented low budget teams from fielding any car at all.

    Phoenix Racing was legitimately trying to field a competitive team but the charter thing forced James Finch to pull the plug as it became cost prohibitive to be a Cup team without one.

    I got it, but still BS. It's the reason Timmy Hill wasn't allowed to race in the iRacing invitational during COVID. Now it has turned into an irreversible asset mess.

    No current solid plans. My Spidey senses tell me he has at least a couple next level options on the table. You don't make a huge career decision like that unless you have a tentative plan.

    You wouldn't think. But also kind of confusing timing considering they're in the playoffs. I would think this would be something you would hold off on announcing until you have something else set up. But we'll see. I'm sure he'll be driving somewhere.

    This is what I see... He most likely been approached by 1 or more teams requesting his services for 2024 but wants to give the 25 the opportunity to find a suitable replacement while he makes up his mind. I hear on the Matty D groups Kaulig, Jr, and even Legacy being thrown around as potential suitors. I do know by following him the Chevy organization loves what he's been doing, they hooked him up with a V8 Vette, so I gotta think he's gonna stay with his manufacturer. And he just recently moved to Mooresville NC... So all signs point to a next level deal on the table. The right thing to do was give Rackley the opportunity to replace him before all the good drivers find rides elsewhere.
