NBC giving more coverage to 32nd place Blubber than the winner of the race. Give me a break!! So are we gonna interview every other driver that had a problem today? I don’t think so.

In other news, I was happy to see Erik Jones get a top 3. Looked like a strong car all day.

Busch gambled only to finish in the exact spot he entered pit road at. The 22 made a straight up business decision and it paid off for him.

That's what the 22 does. Runs like total shit for all but a handful of races and backs into this shit. That is why no one respects him winning it all last year. The 22 had an average finish of 13.5 last year and somehow was the champ.

Harvick on the point at Bristol. Truex lost a ton on that... Wow. Maybe him and the 4 can push the 22 out the playoffs.....

    Anyone feel that?!

Chase will be sour as long as Larson is at HMS. He'll never succeed as long as Kyle is in his head. It's a Cole Trickle vs. Russ Wheeler deal. He needs to move on elsewhere. Honestly, put him in the #3. It would be the final step in his heel turn. Tag team partner with Kyle Bush. Black car. Taking the seat of his dad's on track nemesis.

It would be great to see him at RCR. I'm a fan of Chase, I just think Chase has lost the desire. He's been doing it so long for everyone else that he's burned out. I hope I'm wrong but maybe he just needs to step away for more than an offseason and figure out if this is what he wants to do for a living. Or do for a living at such a high level and expectation.

Yeah- he's certainly lost his desire for now. He's been doing this for over two decades already and it was never "just for fun." His entire life, he's been groomed to do this one thing. It's more his mom than his dad's doing. Having mutual friends with the Elliotts, it's known that Cindy is quite a controlling figure. And-she gets her way because people fear going up against the Elliotts since they put Dawsonville on the map.
Bill's other kids wanted nothing to do with racing. I don't remember Starr ever being around Bill when I was a kid hanging around the garage. Last I heard, Starr worked for the Dawson Co. sheriff's dept. jail.
His middle kid (born from a fling while married to his first wife) has always been out of the picture, even though she moved back to the Dawsonville area after her stint in the Air Force. I think she's on her second husband.

Chase is not going anywhere anytime soon. HMS would be moronic to let him leave just in what his merch is worth alone, coupled with sponsor $'s. Chase is good, probably the best on a road course but Larson is just all around better. Larson literally lives for this shit and would do it even if he were not being paid. Chase needs a new cutting edge crew chief and HMS just never has more than two really strong cars. Right now those are the 5 and 24. Mr. H is always going to favor the 5 and Jeff is all in on the 24. Meanwhile they want to see Chase succeed but just enough to keep him around and keep his name on the roof of the car to bring in the dollars. Chase is a driver and that is all to HMS.

That's all fine and dandy for HMS but is that what is good for Chase? If he truly is just a driver for HMS why would he want to stay? Why wouldn't he, if his desire is to be a top tier pro, find a place that wants a number 1, or for that matter a 1b.

I do not disagree at all. I would have no issue seeing Chase go to RCR as long as they make the investment in being competitive. My point in saying he is not going anywhere is that he is under contract for a couple more years and I do not see HMS losing that cash cow.
