2023 NASCAR THREAD!!!

i'm not a fan either as I think it's a typical L.A. three ring marketing circus with cringeworthy entertainment. Take away all the garbage the leads up to the event and just do the national anthem and race and it's not horrible. As for most, my NASCAR season starts at the Daytona 500

I actually quite like this car (minus the extra fins) and the seamless way they integrated the headlights. Now if only they could figure out a better way to mount the windshield wiper. Like having two of them and setting one so it actually wipes in front of the driver.

 

Looking forward to the season! Already have tickets to both ATL races and Talladega in the Spring. Hoping to get out to Sonoma and/or Bristol.

 

I'll be at the Spring Atlanta race. Perfect weather for that one. Camping out with some other buddies. It'll be 3 dads and 7 kids. All the moms elected to stay home for the weekend . We'll be headed to Fall Talladega and Martinsville, too.

 

I agree. It looks good but still sounds like it's running on 7 cylinders.

 

I randomly check out ebay and etsy for vintage goodwrench hats as I have collected hats for years and they are part of my garage décor. I have hundreds of hats and probably 75 or so Dale Sr & Jr hats from the late 80's all the way through the current offerings by JRM with the late modal stuff with the throwback sponsors. If I want to wear one I buy 2. I have 10 or so hats I wear all the time and everything else gets hung up. It's just something I do. I say all of this because like I said, I randomly check out the auctions to see if something I do not have is available and typically pay no more than $20 for a hat that is in like new condition.
So..... This morning I think, hey I should check some out. I see that "vintage Earnhardt" hats are bringing hundreds and no shit the title to one add is "Obsessed with this made in USA throwback goodwrench hat." THIS IS THE SHIT THAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GO TO LA NASCAR! Fucking hipster BS. And the hat, well its only $125 plus shipping!! Rant over...

 

@tclavell might be coming out for Sonoma too.

 

there’s a dude on EBay who will make whatever old school hat you want and ship it to you for $15. I got a Harry Gant hat this way last month.

 

Can you provide a link? Hopefully he can do fitted as well.
