    Sounds good, but I don't think the 12 was leading at the time. A quick edit, the 12 could have been leading. I was thinking the 9 was leading at the time but I could be wrong for sure. Like I said I just remember a guy getting slapped around and then NASCAR telling him to stop racing out there.

    I started the weekend at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame on Friday. I saw Gordon Pirkle on my way in.

    I drove up to Martinsville on Saturday. Swung by the Kannapolis Cannonballer's field, the Dale Earnhardt statue, and the Curb Racing Museum. They were rolling an old #2 Rod Usterland car piloted by Dale Earnhardt & David Pearson.

    We set up camp outside turn 2 overlooking the race track. Ran into Ward Burton on our way to the grandstand. We sat low in turn one and saw all the chaos in the Xfinity race.

    We met Kyle Petty Sunday morning and found ourselves cloistered with the drivers before the driver meeting. We saw almost every driver, including the VA Governor, who attended the meeting. We got driver intro/front stretch passes last year ($40 ea.), but honestly, if you hang out by the turn 4 gate, you'll get closer and possibly grab autographs for free.

    The race was fantastic, much better than the last time I attended, and quickly my favorite race this year.

    On our return, we swung by the Wood Brothers shop in Stuart. Len, Eddie, and Kim Wood were there, and Len took a lot of time to walk & talk with us. We left with an autographed front left Fender from Harrison Burton's car.
    Finally, we stopped by the Penske shop outside Mooresville to see them prepping the Phoenix cars. Ryan Blaney came trotting in (on his day off) to check on his Martinsville trophy that they wheeled in through the back door.

    Far from spam! What a great experience. Fantastic coverage of Martinsville too! We roll out for Phoenix Raceway this Thursday. There will be a lot of people pulling for Ryan Blaney this weekend including our camp!
