Fair enough. I will definitely agree that the 550 package ruined that place while they used it though.

Kyle - I agree this move to RCR will revitalize his career. Last year, everything weighing on him really hurt his focus. He’s a changed man and racer. I think Daytona showed that. Will it continue; I think so. He’s set, he just needs to focus on driving and winning and that will be a great recipe for his season and RCR. I see more than 2 wins this season and much deeper into the playoffs. Will that result in another Championship, not sure. KB is my favorite driver but he’s changed for the better

Chase - I think he’s a victim of his own success and dare I say has become somewhat whiny, complacent and entitled. He’s young and in his head. It’ll pass and he’s got HMS and his Dad to lead him. I think they are seeing his struggles but trying to let him figure it out.
He will win another championship but it may be a couple more years from now. I like Chase, he’s NASCARs darling and good for the sport.

I agree. I mean I am still pulling for the guy as I never dump drivers. I mean he can’t win less than Jr! Lol. I just think he is in his own head and feels disrespected, and I’m not sure he should and that’s the entitlement. Hopefully he comes around.

NASCAR closes on sale of 433 of 522-acre Auto Club Speedway property:
    https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.c.../Facilities/auto-club-speedway-land-sale.aspx

This leaves only 89 acres for a short track, grandstands, exterior garage for three series, and parking. I'm not sure all this can be fit into 89 acres, especially considering this layout didn't work in simulator testing. They'll have to reconfigure the turns to accommodate reality. For comparison, Martinsville Speedway's property is 340 acres, including parking, exterior garage for support series, and hospitality areas.

Back in the day this was the date for the first Rockingham race and I would be freezing my ass off on the concrete seats.

Looks like a small chance they could race tomorrow but I am doubtful.
