    NASCAR released a statement that they are disappointed that the appeals panel overturned the points penalties for HMS.

    I agree with NASCAR's logic, but I also think the penalty was upheld properly. The fine and suspensions should apply, but there shouldn't be points given that they never comped competed with the bad parts. But they still clearly intended to.

    I think your assessment is spot on. HMS did not race with it but surly tried to exploit the gray area in what they said they would allow. This is what HMS does. Spot on.

    That’s about the only way Richmond might be exciting again. I grew up an hour from that track and the old Sat races were great but not the package they run now.
