Going to be some substantial changes to the schedule next year. Cup going north of the border is one. Race dates for individual tracks moving around also. Stuff is starting to get leaked. I would not be surprised if we do see some tentative schedule released by NASCAR soon.

    Many & varied
Overall I wish they'd ditch dirt Bristol and the notion of street races (waves at Chicago). It's unpopular, but I'd like to see a rotating schedule, skipping some tracks every other year and rotating the finale. There are too many tracks on the schedule with un-needed multiple dates, and some great tracks are not on the schedule. I'd like to see one of two big shakeups happen to the schedule:

    1) Reduce each track to only one date per year. This would permit the schedule to host a wider variety of tracks.
    2) Consolidate the schedule to visit each track twice: Winter/Summer or Spring/Fall. Teams would have notes to rely on for general setup, but weather variations would impact setups. We'd also have to wave goodbye to some tracks, possibly alternating year to year. There are easily 30-33 locations that could host a Cup race. If North Wilkesboro is included, then some others can be included too.

Some of the above is going to happen. The tentative schedule does have a few " WTF are they thinking". Very possible you are going to see some surprise tracks pop up in the schedule.

Imagine Cole Custer seeing this. LOL. They were probably like, look man. Go back to Xfinity for a year then you will be ready to come back up and take over the 4.

As long as Smithfield likes Aric... Tony ain't gonna let him go anywhere.

Guys that bring sponsorship have a lot of leeway.

Chase Elliott will be driving the Bill Elliott/Kasey Kahne throwback scheme for Darlington. Oddly enough, no Dodge sponsorship lol

Rocket Man is going to drive for Rick Ware Racing for a few races. Probably hoping for a Kurt Busch style boost on top of having a driver that isn't suspended.

I don't think he wanted to be gone... Just couldn't find a ride until now.

I heard also Matty D turned the 15 down t stay in truck last off-season... So maybe Ryan just braver... And/ or more desperate for a seat.

Which tells me a decent driver could potentially do decent things in a RW car.

I mean... I did become a fan of a guy who took a 3rd tier team using washed up 2nd tier equipment to consistent top 15s.

Btw... Notice how low WBR has sunk with Ward's boy?! My guy had that 21 near the front damn near every race.
