Got MY 2023 Tacoma off-road NOV2022 after losing my 2019 Tacoma in an accident. Frame bent beyond repair but cabin sustained-we no injuries. What else can one ask for in a vehicle. So, went hunting for MY Tacoma and found it in VW. Some mods done, but generally very happy with the truck!

Plastic surround on seat. Apparently common issue especially with tall drivers... As I am. Getting in and out of car cracks side plastic along seat.

Ha. I dumped mine. An acquaintance is in the process of trading his new Tundra as well. Many of the same issues. They will probably get it straightened out by the mid cycle refresh. But there are way too many issues in my opinion. Seems as though they used inferior components and or rushed the build cycle?

I have a 1st gen and bought a 5th gen 4r to replace it, but the taco just wont die. I decided that when my taco dies, i rather own another truck, so I sold the 5th gen and put myself on a list for a taco. Got a 2023 TRD OR DCLB!

    Plain old SR5, for now
I'm very pleased with my 2023 SR5. 150 miles so far, smiling 100%. Only options were floor mats and bed mat. Picked the dealer that was 1)within driving range, and 2)willing to look far into their allocation/build schedule to find just the plain jane truck I wanted. Deposit in October 2022 which was fully refundable if I didn't commit - they were even rushing me when it arrived Jan 20th as they can sell them in a day or less.

Coming from a 2004 2500 Dodge Ram Crew. The wheelbase is the same, so parking/turning feels familiar. Almost doubled my MPG, and the ride is more subdued. Could be my Dodge shocks are spent too, but with all the rust it's hard to tell... ;>)

what kind of window visors are those? Did you have problems with rolling the window up/ down once it was installed in the channel?

I'm 99% sure they are the AVS in-channel visor. I say 99% because it was 6 years ago that I bought them. I had them on my 2016 before this and I just moved them over when we got the 2023.

Never had a problem with the windows rolling up on either truck.

Did you apply new adhesive or just shoved them in?

Bought a roll of the 3M tape from Autozone. I cleaned them with WD-40 and then soap and water to get the old adhesive off before putting the new tape on.

Picked this up today..msrp! I'm lovin my 23 Pro. Had to dump my 21 Pro for this. I think this is my 6th or 7th Tacoma dating back to 97 when I bought a 94 regular cab v6 manual. I honestly have never considered anything else since. Hopefully all goes well, this truck is like a dream come true.

So far I live my 2023 TRD OR access cab. I bought it after several years of lurking and researching what I wanted. I knew the main complaint on the 3rd gen was the shifting and high revving of the engine. So I immediately got the KDMAXPRO tune 9.0 on my truck. It fixes all of the shifting issues and my mileage is around 21 mpg now. I was getting about 18.5 mpg for my first 700 miles before the time. This is my first ever new vehicle and I bought it thinking it might be the last of the real trucks made, the way I like them anyway. I plan to have it for a long time. I upgraded from my 1997 Isuzu trooper which served me very well, hoping the Tacoma does the same.

Nice truck and I'm super happy for you but I can't help but wonder why you would "dump your 21 Pro" for this one.

Congrats on your super nice truck Tyler. I picked up my 2023 a month ago and it's my first new truck purchase too(and I'm 50yo). I'm very interested in the KDMax 9.0 tune but wanting to get to 1000 miles before I do it..... I just want to experience the truck like it is so I'll really realize and appreciate(or not) the difference.
