2023 sr5 w/o dtrl to 2023 headlight with dtrl

Good afternoon I just bought a 2023 Tacoma and I have to replace the lights due to damage. I bought new headlights with the LED daytime running lights. Not the fancy ones with the fancy turn signal. Can someone please help me with what I need to make these lights work? Many thanks, Lance.

 

I don’t have anything for SR/SR5 at the present time. I’ve indefinitely suspended the SR OEM LED harness but that wouldn’t have helped you.

 

My recommendation would be to source SR headlights for now and use Philips H9 bulbs in the low beams.

 

Thank you very much for the response. I will do some investigation on your recommendation. Do you know of any potential harness available that would be plug in play? I’m assuming I could still use these headlights but the daytime running lights would just never be on? Once again, many thanks for any information.

 

Also, what does SR stand for?

 

SR / SR5 are trim levels. In this context I’m referring to the headlights with halogen turn / DRL, different from the TRD headlights with led DRL which are different from Oem led with the C shaped drl/turn and led emitters for low and high beam.

If your truck has auto headlights I believe you could disable DRL in the head unit and hack and slash your wires.

I would like to have a simple and reliable solution but everything tried so far has been a disappointment, overly complicated, too expensive and worst of all, a return headache for me.

 

I’m not talking about the LED C-shaped that you referenced above. I have just the regular SR headlights without the LED daytime, running lights. But I have purchased what appears to be from your explanation. TRD headlights. They have the LED daytime running lights.

 

If you’re asking the question then the simple answer is that there is no way.

The more factually correct answer is that there are several ways but none which are reasonable for me to offer for sale.

 

And my suggestion is toss them and buy ones intended for your truck.

I got oem led
Was hoping to get your harness
I don’t care if turning signal blinks when you change the switch position
Hopefully you start selling it again

 

No plans to start back up again but Johnny might once he's mended.
No progress on a better solution either. Pretty busy these days.
