Do your thing my friend. We have very different lines of thinking. I despise leather seats and even though I live in a cold climate, could care less about heated seats. One of the reasons I went with the Tacoma is because I can get a vehicle without all that shit. No ESS either which is also the new norm. Im not bashing you bro...believe me. just thinking maybe this aint your cup of tea.

Agree on despising leather seats. I like the BSM, CTA, and the lane departure warning (not assist, just warning). If they stop working some year I can decide at that time if the repair is worth it to me.

My 2023 OR has the tech package and LED lights. I could only find a few in my area with the advanced tech package but they were in hideous colors.

Not true. I just bought my 23 OR a month ago as well and it has the basic tech package.

The Toyota site still shows the Tech pkg for the Off-Road trim. It’s just likely a rare find, as it was for me earlier this year. Especially if you were picky like me on color.

Yeah different lines of thinking for sure. When I’m paying 40K+ manufactures should include these ‘features’ it doesn’t cost anything more for them, whether you use them or not in resale someone may but it’s just another way for them to charge outlandish money for say example
Yeah very few are out there for 2023 extremely rare. If you don’t mind where did you purchase?

What’s made this more challenging is a lot of dealerships are not selling outside their market of a 100-200 miles of where the vehicle will be registered.

I don’t use the lane departure thing, but I’m glad to have BSM and RCTA on my truck. They have both come in handy for me a few times, and maybe helped to avoid a potential accident. With car seats for the little ones in the back, I can’t see shit out of my rear windows. I don’t really agree with the “I’m glad not to have those features just because it’s just more to break” mindset… If those one of those sensors did break, it’s not like it’s going to leave you stranded, you’re just back to not having BSM. There’s also 1000s of electrical circuits in a Tacoma, why are these the ones that people fear will fail? I have a 26 year old Toyota that has never had one failure of anything electric.

I didn’t think I cared about BSM and RCTA, but after using them for a month or so now I’m glad I have it. I even find the lane departure handy in certain situations, mostly in conjunction with cruise control on interstates and highways. It’s one of those things where you don’t really realize what your missing until you try it.

The only factory option I had to have on my OR was the led lights. I turn off all the stupid safety features on my Subaru other wise it’s always beeping at me for crossing the yellow line, driving into my garage, etc

I was very frustrated by the lack of tech packages in my search. I was willing to pay a little over sticker for a PRO but not the insane amounts asked. I just wanted the latest tech in my purchase and was very close to a Pro4x Before my dealer located a Sport loaded. Not here yet

I ordered a TRD Off Road just over 4 months ago and got the call yesterday that my allocation is coming in. 2023 TRD Off Road Premium with Advanced Tech Package. They say it should deliver in 30 days or so. So apparently Toyota is still making them but they do seem a bit rare when you look at the list of what's out there and compare it to trucks that have the Advanced Tech Package.

You can turn off all of the safety features individually. I have the blind spot and if I get to close to someone but I turned off the beeping when I swerve a bit hitting the yellow line. I didn’t want but now I’m glad I did. Had it 3 years with no issues

Don’t get the stereo with jbl premium package if you ever plan on upgrading your speakers
