Hi guys I’m looking at buying a 2023 Tacoma when I build it on Toyota website it says the trd of road premium package includes led headlights but I’m wondering why this Tacoma that I’m expecting to received doesn’t have the led headlights but it has the highest option packaged.

LED headlights are a separate option. In my 2022 they were $485 option.

Yeah, it's confusing. That's referring to the led daytime running light strip on the sides of the headlights. If you want the oem led headlights/fog lights it's a $485 factory option. Otherwise, it's about $1300 to buy them from the parts department and a conversion harness and you'll have to install yourself. That's what many have done including myself.

the first screen shot isn't high enough resolution to zoom in on, but as mentioned, the LED headlights are an additional option and well worth it. I would talk to you dealer and have them explain. Buying OE headlights is about $1,000-1,300 plus harness and install, so only you can decide if you want to wait or add later.

EDIT: I believe @MGMDesertTaco is correct, they are referring to the LED daytime portion. I think I have read others have been confused on this as well.

I'd definitely recommend ordering them with the truck from the factory. They're cheaper that way and the warranty period will be longer.

Each bullet point is a separate option. Toyotas site is just terrible. Find one out there with it from the factory. Don’t add it after the fact.

Well what’s weird is Toyota website shows that any of the packages you choose include the led headlights so it’s weird I guess I’m going to have to cancel my allocation and order somewhere else to get the led headlights.

If you could get them for $485 option, I'd wait.

I spent well over $650 per headlight and bought the harness and did it myself...

That's why I have "Add-on Remorse" as opposed to "Buyer Remorse" which I think is worse...lol!!!

Double check with your dealer before you cancel. Inventory is hit or miss these days.

    well that sucks, sorry.
You are wise to wait for what you want. Next go round, ask your dealer to show the line item and tell them this is a MUST have. If you can't wait, the harness and additional cost is way cheaper than a rental for months :D

I have a 2019 and want to add the OE LED's, but need to buy other's Christmas presents first, so I will wait.

Why is that truck so much money and is lacking equipment? Are automatics way more or was there a giant price increase for MY23?

mine was $44,595 and has Premium, advanced tech, LED, then port option: mats, bed lights, edge guards, roof rack, mudguards, tailgate insert.

Auto's are more....Not sure if the increase is the same across all trims or not....? it's an upcharge of $2280 on the 2023 Pro's.

Have the dealerpull up build sheet/specs. Like others said, website suck, and window stickers aren't much better. If build sheet doesn't list them, see what dealer can do for you at cost.

This is wrong. My truck has the LED headlights and the screenshot you posted from toyota.com is the way I ordered them.

This is most likely a change at the plant due to a parts shortage. I originally ordered the Advance Tech Package but, due to lack of parts, the truck ended up being built without it. I told my salesman to sell it somebody else, I didn't want it. Try again. A few months later the truck I wanted - and ordered - was delivered complete with everything.

Talk to your sales guy about this. He might not know and will make something up to get you to take it but somebody higher up the food chain knows the real answer. Otherwise, take it with a correction in price or reject it and wait for a new - and complete - build.

It's a little confusing - whether they're included in the package or if you need code LG on the window sticker? You should definitely ascertain this.
But either way, I strongly recommend you get a truck with them. At $485, they were the single best option on my Factory Build and are a game changer for night driving. Right now, with better availability overall, there's no reason to compromise - resistance is futile.

LED's were not available for a short time during my 2022 allocation according to my dealer. I wanted them, but he said he couldn't add them on any order at that time, parts shortage. Maybe it has happened again? I got the standard lights, and I think they are fine and I actually prefer the look, you can replace a bulb if needed, and they get warm enough to melt ice off if needed.
