LOL I just got the clazzios and I thought the same thing. But no I'm not going to cover the covers. That would just be ridiculous.

If you plan on wheeling it, tires and at least shocks. The stock tires clog quickly in anything resembling mud and the TRD OR Bilsteins fade very quickly when on fire, logging, or service roads at speed. After that, I tinted the windows, got a Fas-Top soft topper, anytime front and rear cameras, remote tailgate lock (uses OEM Keyfob), and Clazzio seat covers with heated seats.

I definitely feel like an underachiever, especially on the FB Tacoma groups. Mudflaps and a bed cover. I really like it the way it is…

    King Racing 3” lift
    This is a great thread.

    1) Suspension lift ==> 3" King racing for me with front SPC UCAs and rear add-a-leaf
    2) Wheels and 33"s
    3) Toolbox
    4) Window tint
    5) Front Subaru tweeters and better front door speakers plus sound deadening FatMat foam inside both front doors (HUGE improvement - I see no need for an amp)
    6) LEDs in all four holes and A-pillar ditch lights
    7) SwitchPod
    8) Shift Commander module
    9) Clazzio seat covers (worth every penny)
    10) Center console organizer / divider
    11) WeatherTech floor mats
    12) minimalist American flag, Don't Tread on Me, and New Orleans Saints fleur de lis decals

religious fluid changes in every cavity and frequent ceramic coating re-applications

Truck looks and drives better than new

In 4 months of ownership I’ve added
    window tint
    OEM bed mat
    Weathertech floor liners
    interior chrome delete
OTT tune. (by far the best money ever spent on this truck)

My first mod was to install hood struts so I don't have to use the OEM prop rod that I found just gets in the way. I went with the ones from Spiker Engineering: https://spikerengineering.com/product/16_tacoma

After that, I installed several of the MESO Customs chrome delete products, such as these two: https://mesocustoms.com/collections/interior-accessories/products/interior-chrome-delete-kit and https://mesocustoms.com/collections/interior-accessories/products/vent-ring-kit. I installed several others to get rid of all of the chrome inside the cab. Looks really great, and is very easy to do.

Day 16 of ownership for my '17, I'm happy to report that the front spacer lift has been removed, and the ECGS bushing has been installed to replace the failing stock needle bearing. Everything is torqued to spec, and it's now off of the jack stands for tonight. Tomorrow morning I'll remove the back half of the spacer lift (much easier) and take my pickup on its inaugural quarterly dump run. The garbage man does not come to my house.

Stick out your can - I'm the garbage man!

So far…. Added fog lights swapped halogens to led’s, interior lights to led’s, bed lights added, led/strobe brake lights, trying to figure out the right leds for turn signals.
Let’s see… added fog lights, waiting for some SeaLight fog light bulbs to come in, added a hoot light bar and ditch lights and then removed because I didn’t like it, interior led upgrade, upgraded all halogen bulbs up front to SeaLight LED bulbs. Changed drl/turn signal to a dual function led bulb that’s amber as drl and then white when headlights are on, led taillights that flash, bed light kit, black exhaust tip, tow hitch brake light , then ran out of money for now lol

Written in order installed, numbered in order of importance (to me) after owning:
    Tune 1
    Lift 9
    Plate front bumper 5
    BD fogs 3
    Sliders 10
    Floor mats 6
    Rain guards/wind deflectors 8
    Console organizers 7
    Oem LEDs 2
    Wheels 12
    Tires 4
    Total tail led lighting 11

Some things lower in importance were necessitated by higher priority mods I knew I would be getting in the future. Like heavier suspension to support my fat ass bumper and offset wheels for bigger tires.
The most important stuff to me now are the things that affect the truck on road which I benefit from daily.
Tuning an automatic is a must! People say the newer models come with better firmware, but all I know is that whatever my ‘19 was on was unbearable, and a tune made it normal/almost fun to drive.
Headlights and fogs are huge for visibility and confidence.
Better traction on wider wheels is really nice.
Having a battering ram to protect my life from ballsy moose gives me more confidence on desolate drives on long dark roads with the added benefit of not totaling the front end in the event of a fender bender (knock on wood).
Deep floor mats let the snow melt, pool up and evaporate without stinking up the carpet.
The console organizers are just handy as hell.

I was in a rush to get this truck to the state my 1st gen was in before it got totaled, so I did a lot of expensive big stuff early. Since then it’s been a ton of cosmetic stuff that everybody and their brother does. Debadge, dechrome, seat covers, tint, gas cap, bottle holder and the like

Any recommendations besides OEM for the bed light kit? At just over $50 for OEM I’m leaning that route unless there is a better product out there

Honestly did one off of Amazon for like $40, and it was plug and play, very simple install. As long as you have the existing cargo light and switch

That look really nice - exactly the same as mine. Is there a lift on there or just bigger tires? What size/type are the tires?
