2023 Tacoma Pricing (Canada)

Hi everyone. I've been in the market for a mid-size truck for a few years now but my damn Civic just won't die. LOL. At first I was checking out the Colorado but after learning about the Tacoma I fell in love with everything about it. So I've been lurking around on TW for a couple of years now trying to learn everything I can. This is a great community and I thank everyone for sharing their knowledge about the Tacoma.

So basically the COVID crap and chip shortages made me hold off for a couple of years on pulling the trigger but I'm not waiting anymore. I'm not sure if I like the look of the 2024 redesign based on the rendered images you see all over the place. So I want to get a 2023 before it's too late.

I haven't actually bought a brand new vehicle in over 15 years so I'm a little out of practice and kind of nervous about the whole ordeal. I am looking at a TRD OR with AT and a 5ft box. when I build it on the dealer websites the price says $48340 MSRP before the 13%HST tax.

My question to fellow Canadians is what was your purchasing experience like in 2023? Would it be still possible to negotiate the MSRP price?

 

Don't know what it's like now. I bought my 2023 TRDOR SB premium Nov.'22 in Calgary. There was no window sticker on the truck. It was in the middle of the showroom. I knew the price was inflated. I spent a whole Saturday afternoon at the dealer. Lots of back and forth offers. When I left I was happy with the deal I got with trading in my vehicle at the time.
