You would think by now they would have figured out that the first thing everyone does when they buy a Tacoma is get rid of all the horrible chrome.

Nope! Let’s add more chrome from the factory!
    :annoyed:

    1. No aftermarket remote start available, so you have to use their app - which sucks beyond imagination. And after 3 years you have to pay $80/year to keep it.
    2. If I just want to reach in and start it, I have to put my left hand on the brake and push the button with my right. So obviously of you have a case of beer or something in your hands, you're gonna have to set it down. This also means you'll never start it from the passenger side, either.
    3. I'm old school. Been using keys for over 30 years and see no logical reason to change.

That all makes a lot of sense to me! I guess that’s stuff I always take for granted since I’ve always had a traditional key as well.

Current and previous vehicles have push button to start. Prefer key start. I just like the idea of taking key out of ignition and putting it in my pocket and vise versa. Key in ignition, ON, key out, OFF. No guessing!

I'm pretty sure we have a couple insiders here that have been saying 2024 is the new gen since a few years ago. If you want the non turbo 2023 is the year to get.

Well the only thing we know is a general design and one powertrain confirmation from Toyota. That's all so far.

Trail already has that 1.1/0.5 lift on for 2022 model year doesn't it? So no change in that dept.

Actually is it 1.1 more inches from the 2022 or restating the 2022 specs?....hmm

Typically, the next model year starts rolling out of the assembly line in September.

Also, there is not such thing as "ordering". Dealers get allocations dictated by Toyota. pre-covid, dealers had the ability for preferences like adding packages to a vehicle that was allocated to them. These days, dealers just get what they get on a bi-weekly allocation schedule.

I'm only interested because I need to be more sophisticated, so this is a wonderfully delightful package. Can't wait to see all of the other sophisticated drivers on the roads.

Thanks! I probably could've been more clear, I have a deposit down on an uncommon spec and was wondering when/if that will turn over to a MY23.

Yup. I’ve still never talked to a single person who was like “wow I sure love all this chrome on my Tacoma”. Toyota must be surveying a different crowd
