2023 tacoma vs 2019 - Lower quality?

    Unfortunately this is the answer. Buddy of mine has been working as a Lexus tech for 20+ years. Post covid even in Lexus they have cut corners in manufacturing, using inferior quality parts. He says their rate of repairs is sky high compared to historical averages. They've even done repairs on vehicles with misfires during the PDI inspection. He was told it would take 8-10 years to get back to normal levels.

    Texas to Mexico. We're talking about highly automated mass production which removes a lot of the human induced issues. Not like teaching a small tribe of folks in the Amazon to make good whiskey.

    Gotta pay to play. I just did the spin-on adapter under the truck. I've got to get under there to drain the oil anyway so what's the difference. Just punch a hole in the filter and let it drain with the oil.

    Plenty of clearance with the skid.

    This is what's annoying about internet forums. Everyone can post content without data. If the quality is lower how about quantifying it with some supporting information? As far as I know the part numbers are all the same whether the truck was built in Texas or Mexico.
