What’s up everyone! I’m new to this channel. I just recently bought a 3rd gen Tacoma and its complete stock! I’m thinking of changing the tires and the wheels in the future. What tires and wheels do yall recommend to give it an aggressive look without having to lift it? Thanks in advance fellas!

Welcome to TW. Depends! Where do you want drive your truck? If you’re just driving up I-70 in the snow, and take some fire trails here and there, a good set of all terrains will look get you there, and look pretty good. Personal preference there. I like coopers but they have a less aggressive look. You might like Wildpeak A/T3W- aggressive look, mostly positive reviews (there are always opinionated trolls, so heads up), quiet on the road, last a while, and decent price compared to other options.

Max size with no lift is roughly 31”. Exact size depends on wheel size. Here’s a good place to start: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/biggest-tire-w-out-lift.547837/

There are many after market options. If I had a 3G Sport I'd go with OEM 16" bronze Tacoma Trail Editions wheels and 265 70 16 BFG ko2s. The Ko2s might be slightly less expensive than the Ko3s.

Keep in mind that your tire and wheel choices will impact your gas mileage, if that matters to you.

Honestly, I haven't noticed a difference after going from stock size to 285/75 r16. I was actually making worse mileage before because the truck was faster, and I have a lead foot. The new tires seems to have decrease acceleration (could be in my head), and I just drive slower now - MPGs averaged around 13 before, and now I'm hovering around 15 in the city, and 17 on the highway.

Wow, your fuel efficiency was already terrible. Why? You say you had stock SIZE- how about tire/wheel weight?

I average around 22-22.5 MPG…. Stock wheels and tires.
