Hit a deer a few months ago, truck was completely drivable. Just got the truck back from the body shop and now it’s having rough sputtering starts every 5 starts or so. Check engine light comes on and it really struggles to get going. Called the body shop and they told me to make an appt with the dealership. They said they didn’t touch anything under the hood and scanned it for codes before they returned it to me. Very frustrating. I don’t see how replacing the bumper and front fender could’ve caused issues with a fuel injector or spark plugs???

If the repair was under insurance, call your insurance company, and let them know the problem and the shop's response.

If they did any welding on truck, without disconnecting battery. Both positive and negative. That easily can mss thing up electrically.

Good point, I forgot this one, hopefully OP’s level of troubles isn’t this bad,,, especially since the shop isn’t very helpful.

Just got back from the dealership, they diagnosed it as a faulty battery. Replaced under warranty. Interesting.

Body shop, probably didn't disconnect and drained battery down. Leaving door open, or back feed if welded on truck. At least it's resolved.
