Please transfer Bob Half-Handle back to designing wheel covers for the next Yaris, alongside his friend Iso Dynasmith.

In a parallel universe, Toyota listened to current Tacoma owners (as they constantly brag about), right now we have proper grab handles, and this thread never existed.

Also waiting for an aftermarket solution. FYI - the current gen Tundra grab handle isn't a fit.

The trick to using the new grab handle is to use your left hand, not your right. I still prefer an "open" design that would allow either hand to be used.

I found this A-Pillar grab handle vid. by BGUCAR , but for some reason I can't find any more info on Amazon, nor the internet.
not sure if they halted production or simply never went G.A. due to airbag deployment concerns.
I can't see anything that says there's an airbag on the A-Pillar, but Google AI says there is.

I hope something like this happens for the passenger side - The wife doesn't like the stock "handle".

That rolled up white fabric ziptied to the black tube is the airbag. The guy's hands are right on it in the video thumbnail.

I don't love the passenger side grab ledge, but I'm just glad the driver side doesn't have a huge handle on the A pillar. I briefly had an F-150 rental that had one that was an annoying partial obstruction of my forward view.
